The Rockets effort and defense early in the 3rd was absolute crap. They were making shots, but almost all of them were extremely good shots. I'm surprised Ime let the starters play as much as they did, I thought we needed a complete line change early in the quarter. They were pretty much playing catchup the rest of the way. Whatever, hot shooting and a road game. It's gonna happen.
Amen is a terrific defender, but he can't do much when the rim is protected. He really needs to work harder on his jumper. His mechanics have improved, but he has a long way to go.
Oh boy can't wait to lose to the Warriors for the 68453786453896453963457986453798674539867345963459th time in a row.
Ime has to show the players more film, so they can work on their kinks in practice. That's the bottom line.
I don’t want to hear this pathetic referees were the reason we lost excuse and more how awful our offense was and allowed again the referees to take us out of it, this time for longer and it’s becoming a serious issue. Also Ime can call out the refs all he wants, how about another Sengun benching tactic when there were at least 2-3 offensive possessions where our guys blatantly missed Sengun running down the middle and having a short(er) guy on him. Tell Green, FVV, Tari and Amen to get some ****ing glasses then too. Not just for that, but also driving into traffic, throwing up wild shots trying to get a call, dribbling for way too long and forcing up threes or these prepared 360 moves where they get stripped a lot. Also stop running with Adams, he doesn’t do **** for us but clog the lane. He might be strong, but it’s not like he’s rebounding and being a rim protector. Hell, Jock has been blocking shots and being way more of a defensive presence. We also jump at shooters, gamble a lot on defense and double-team where we leave a 3pt shooter wide open way too often. Particularly the gambling backfired. All in all, I want us to look in the mirror, Ime in particular before getting all riled up about some calls. I don’t want us to become this team that goes at the refs every single game. We deserved this loss.
You know, I’ve been surprised we did so well in cup games but only because no one from the squad made the leagues commercial. And then some funny business happens… And now we’re getting served to the warriors on a 9:30 tip off? The NBA has had a credibility issue forever and it’s because they lean on the scales of justice entirely too much. I mean that was either blatant game manipulation *or* one of the very worst attempts at refereeing a professional basketball match.
Couldn’t stop the Kings dribble drive interior pass or kickout when Rockets collapse. Don’t know why Udoka didn’t switch to zone.
We need AI reffing ASAP. For nostalgia purposes, league can still display couple of zebras on the floor, but decisions to be made by AI using camera and mic input. Zebras can do the talking. Even at olympics this past summer, there was blatant home cooking for the frenchies. College football is even worse. If AI takes over, we would rid of so much drama and BS that watching your team can become fun again.
Damn. Having to matchup against the Warriors sucks. They've owned the Rockets ever since Kerr was hired there. Is there any way we can have Mark Jackson coach them for the Quarterfinal game? Have him use Steph as a traditional PG trying to set up Looney post ups (since David Lee is gone).
From what I recall, he was crawling in from out of bounds too when going for the ball. Not as egregious as KD but close
In the first Spurs game, CP3 kicks out his leg when Tari closes out and somehow that's a flagrant on Tari. Not even sure what a flagrant is anymore
