The “give me Harden over FVV” takes are embarrassing

Harden would have unlocked Alpi as well. Not trying to argue either, I love my oatmeal (@Reeko) but lets be real, a Harden/Alpi pick and roll game would have been lethal. I've had more than my fair share of Harden playoff disappointments, so I'm glad we didn't go with him, but regular season Harden has always been on point. Hell, Harden will give you some good playoff games as well, he will just usually flounder in the most critical ones.

No way our defense would be what it is now with Harden at the helm. Will always respect his game (one of the greatest offensive peaks of all time) but FVV was the right choice for where this team and organization is at. We weren't going to win it all by bringing James back.

Clippers literally have the 4th best defense in the league…

and they don’t have the defenders the Rockets do either

Sengun is averaging 19 ppg shooting 47% from the field and has 53.5% TS which is way below average…I’m sorry, but Harden would have Sengun eating like it’s Thanksgiving: 24-25 ppg on 55% shooting with Harden, u can book that

Hypothetically speaking both Green and Shai would work in the past as they are not great 3 point shooters.

I think Jokic is great but I still find it hard for him to form a dynasty on his own. Sorry.

Paul George last year next to Harden: career high in FG%, 3 point percentage, AND career high in TS% (beating his previous career high by 1.5%, and was only season of his career he was over 60%)

Kawhi Leonard last year: career high in FG% and TS%

freaking Zubac is averaging 15 and 12 right now

Norman Powell currently has a career high in TS%

Sengun eating on the court, and there’s no way Jalen’s efficiency would consistently be so trash

I don't watch the Clippers enough, but man Coach Lue and JVG are working some real magic to have a defense this good with the group of players they have. Impressive.

Why would you say that? He's never even played with an all star level player and has ring. If he ever got a true number 2 he'd win repeatedly,

No he shouldn't. Nobody except Jokic should be in any MVP talk unless you're a complete moron.

    nuggets are underachieving

What the hell are you talking about? Denver plays at like a 68 win pace or something when he's on the court, he can't play 48 minutes. You can be as racist as you want, it doesn't change how great Jokic is and how he should EASILY be the unanimous MVP.

Harden is by far the better talent, and I will die on the hill in that I hold no ill will to the way he left after seeing Fertitta's early runs on the board.

I also am not sure just how much Sengun would flourish with him, as Harden's skills are much more suited to a rim runner and not dumping it down low to let someone cook.

I still cannot fathom we're this far into FVV's Rocket tenure and some still don't realise FVV was paid the big bucks to erase the KPJ and Silas influence off the court, moreso than his contributions on the court.

oh im racist because i acknowledge that the largely racist nba media like bill simmons, ryen russilo, tim botemps and zach lowe saying that the clippers would have one of the worst records in the nba this season after letting podcast pee and not having kawhi to start the year is me being biased, when throughout hardens entire career these same nba good ole boy media members will give jokic and steve nash mvps for being 6th in the seeding or excelling using a stacked suns team with marion, barbosa, amare, etc..

oh and harden is 2-0 againist jokic AND steph this year, aint nobody trying to hear excuses when jokic openly campaigned for westbrick. oh and how is that jamal murray or paul george is better than james harden take looking zach lowe.. thats why you got fired clown lol

here are the facts.. jokic is FOOD for any james harden led team..

the clippers would have close zero wins without harden... how the nba media cant see that blows my mind.. first they said it was because of powell the clippers were having success then the clippers go 5-1 when powell was recently injured for six games.. barely losing by 1 point on the road to minnesota

funny how im the racist, while in the meantime you have actual good ole boys in the nba media who can try and damage a players monetary value by intentionally colluding to keep players they dont like off all-nba teams lol and collude against him when he has one of the best defensive seasons by analytics for a guard in history in 2020.. doesnt get a single all-defensive team vote.. RANKS james harden in the 60's before the season starts.. Meanwhile luka doncic is horrible/fat out of shape and a terrible defender and then the same good ole boy nba media gaslights casuals saying that luka is an improved defender.. when harden retires im done with the nba

Embiid won an MVP award playing next to Harden and was very much allowed to cook down low. It didn't detract from Harden's game either as he was still extremely efficient and led the league in assists. They had chemistry with each other with Embiid taking the lead role.

Harden might actually give Brooks, Jabari, Jalen, and even Alpi good looks from the arc
