I think the shtick generally pretty funny, it does make me laugh, I just wish they would sometimes post real thoughts about basketball. I don't think I've seen a genuine opinion from Os in like 3 years. I've probably read thousands of his posts on here and I couldn't tell you one single thing he thinks about this team. The last sincere post I can remember reading from him was like a year (maybe?) ago about the KPJ legal situation where he basically called DD a clueless idiot. But nothing related to basketball.

 

I love the team, watch every game, and am a big fan of each and every player on the team. What more is there to know?

I voice my real opinion all the time, actually.... Maybe I haven't for a while.... My fav player is Amen..... Because Amen listens to Sengun's words of wisdom and is always willing to learn from Alpi... If more players had Amen's attitude towards Alpi they would be 1st in the conference......

 

Do you think Ime is a good offensive coach? Do you think Jalen is a future star? Do you think we should trade him? Do you think Sengun has mvp potential? Do you think we should go after Devin booker? Do you think amen should be starting? Should tari be starting? Do you think the rockets have been lucky so far, or are we a legit top 4 seed? Do you think we should make any trades at all? Do you think we’re doing Jalen a disservice by using him incorrectly? Do you think FVV shoots the ball too much?

 

Lol it stuck out because it was jarring - it read like someone had hacked his account because I had never seen him write like that before. It was a real sincere post, so it stuck with me.

 

Hey man, you asked me what I wanted to know, so I told you. I can answer most of these questions for most of the guys who post here daily but I couldn’t answer a single one for you. All I’m saying is I wish you mixed sincere thoughts in with your Sengun routine.

 

honestly? we're 15-6 coming out of the Silas era; in second place in the west and by most accounts currently third in overall power rankings; and we've got the number one defense in the league.

None . . . and I mean none . . . of those questions are really relevant, now, are they? and I don't mean that to sound insulting. I just don't have the ego invested in being "right" that the rest of the knuckleheads on this forum have. I enjoy the Rockets as a team, I enjoy watching the games on League Pass, and I enjoy the friendly banter with a relatively small group of game thread peeps who along with me struggled through the Silas Era. I think we've earned our Meme Squad fun.

anyway. The "Sengun routine" as you put it is mostly a mocking of folks who take themselves just a bit too seriously . . . like that dude who invited me to the game tonight in Sacramento so he could beat me up.

and tonight I'm just trying to keep myself awake long enough to reach the 10pm ET start time and maybe make it to halftime. With Severo on my side and god willing . . .
