Who said Hartenstein isn't a good basketball player, I said he was overpaid and most of the NBA analysts agree. You just put words in people's mouth and spew a bunch of nonsense. Jalen Green is getting paid 35 million you dunce and there have been plenty of takes after mine saying he is expendable and is the piece we need to upgrade. Jalen Green didn't even play most of the fourth quarter if you watched the game and there are plenty of shooting guards we can get who average his numbers but shoot better than 31.7% from three.

I said Sengun has to play better in the FIRST HALF, are you even reading the replies lol. You are having a hard time tonight, maybe take a break and read what I post. I said the team can perform even better if we make some changes and I also celebrated the win in other replies. Nobody was ever upset about anything, its basketball not the war on Ukraine.

Playing hard defense makes it harder to score on offense, crazy I know. He isnt the only one struggling with inefficiency due to high effort on defense, Sengun, FVV and Tari Eason are shooting their career worst as well.

Not sure what you mean by Jalen being on a different page from everyone else. He is playing within the Udoka system just like everyone else he just isnt hitting his shots. Udoka said multiple times after games he has no issue with Jalen cuz he is wide open, unfortunately he isnt converting his shots thats why he ends up getting benched.

Agree with this point, it’s also why a lot of people are saying he is expendable because this is year 3 and he is shooting a worse percentage on wide open looks. I’m one that says give him one more year but if he can’t figure it out we need to look at upgrading.

Or if Tari or Amen can start hitting shots consistently then we can just upgrade internally without giving up any of our resources.

Imagine giving up on a 19 yr old after 3 yrs lmao. These people are the same posters insulting Stone and wanting him fired a couple of years ago.

I would not call it expendable, he has never really arrived as someone who can do the triple threat of scoring, shooting and doing everything else....

Also his playmaking and ball handling is not elite enough on the next level, defense might be okay now that he is applying to the Udoker defensive allround system.

It is either one of those 3 most nights. And then he has a Streak of 3 weeks where he gets it all together. (and plays like an almost super star)

I wouldn’t give up on him, I’ve defended him a lot. He is top 30 right now in defensive win shares thanks to renewed efforts under Udoka. But our offense does suffer greatly when he is having an off night which is more common than most fans would like give he’s making 35+ million.

I love Alpi but my first thought in response to this post was “Sure, Jan.”

if you have to build a case for a guy being the alpha he isn’t the alpha.

That's a dumb argument. If you can't give a reason why he's the alpha how would he be the alpha?

Alpi has been the designated closer of the games that's the reason why he's the Alpha. I'm not building a case I'm just stating facts. And we're winning with him being the Alpha we're literally 2nd seed with a bunch of 22 yr olds not sure what else Alpi has to do to prove he's the Alpha.

Alpi is very good. He’s not yet the kind of all-NBA player that teams go all in building around and have records like ours right now. I don’t want to diminish him, because he’s been so good. I think we are defining alpha differently and honestly I don’t care that much.

Ultimately we’re playing semantics and picking nits here. This team is outplaying their own talent right now imo. They’re winning cause they’ve got complete buy in to a system that always keeps them close in games at the very least.

Sometimes I feel like Boston don't have "the kind of all-NBA player that teams go all in building around" but that doesn't mean they dont have all-NBA players. Just a food for thought!

Very few players are All NBA at 22 yrs old. If the Rockets suck and Alpi got as many touches as Wemby he'd be all nba by now with a 25/12/9 average. But the Rockets have a very balanced attack so Sengun's stats are downplayed. It doesn't mean he isn't an alpha the Rockets are just playing winning style basketball. They go to him to close out games though and that's what an Alpha does.
    Curry: 22/5/6
    Sengun: 18/10/5

Sengun's stats are very comparable to Steph Curry who is considered one of the best Alphas but playing on a versatile team with multiple weapons. Considering he is only 22 yrs old he is already on an "Alpha" level and will be an all star this year.

My opinion but people who still don't acknowledge Alpi's stardom after seeing him be the close multiple times this year just don't watch enough winning basketball and put too much emphasis on statitiscal accumulation.

again, I think we're just defining words differently. All good and you make great points. I wasn't trying to diminish Alpi, I love the guy.
