"But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain — that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist." - Lysander Spooner (1869)
Biden's pardon of Hunter is an OUTRAGE!!!! I'm so outrage I'm going to call my Senators today (Ted Cruz, and John Cornyn) and DEMAND that they pass legislation to ensure that the Pardon power is never again abused by ANY PRESIDENT!!! Who is with me?? @Os Trigonum @Bandwagoner @Space Ghost @Commodore ... I know you guys are also OUTRAGED. Let me know when you guys are about to call Ted Cruz and Cornyn as well so I can make sure our voices are heard TOGETHER!! United against this tyranny of presidential abuse!!!!
lol outrage. reading is hard, comprehension is harder. I think most folks participating in these threads right now are amused at the contortions lefties have had to go through these past eight or nine years to prop up Hillary and then Biden. It's the hypocrisy that's delicious . . . and that's a far different emotion than "outrage"
I personally called Biden and told him I supported him in his decision to issue the pardon. He told me he only did it because the Democrat party has gone to **** and feels disrespected Obama kicked him out of the party and knows the pardon would make the Democrats look even worse. He also said he was very upset over the Afghanistan withdrawal and the terrible guidance his administration provided and felt he never recovered from the sheer incompetence of his administration. And he voted for Trump.
I wish Biden would pardon Sengun from all future fouls and any fouls he may have commited since being drafted....
hard to argue with any of this Hunter Biden’s Pardon Is All About Protecting Joe Biden, Not His Son https://thefederalist.com/2024/12/03/hunter-bidens-pardon-is-all-about-protecting-joe-biden-not-his-son/
Hunter Biden's Pardon Features Several Shades of Hypocrisy, Including the Gun Policy Implications Joe Biden says his son did not deserve prison for violating firearm laws that the president vigorously defends and has made more severe. https://reason.com/2024/12/02/hunte...ocrisy-including-the-gun-policy-implications/
related Jon Stewart calls out Joe Biden’s ‘hypocrisy’ of Hunter pardon — while mocking ‘dance’ Dems have to do to defend it https://nypost.com/2024/12/03/us-news/jon-stewart-rips-bidens-hypocrisy-for-pardoning-son-hunter/
Yea that was an immediate connection I made yesterday. Pardoning Hunter doesn't just protect Hunter. It's protects Joe and others as well.
It's pretty easy to argue against that. They already investigated Biden for this, and found nothing with which to charge him. Political party members from the Republican MAGA wing were the ones running the investigation and they found nothing. Their star witnesses provided nothing to even help their case and their testimony in many cases backfired and helped demonstrate lack of criminality from Biden. Republicans were humiliated in their attempt. GOP Impeachment Fiasco Continues: They Turn Against Their Own Witness Republicans suddenly really don’t want to hear from Hunter Biden’s business partner. https://newrepublic.com/post/175846/republican-biden-impeachment-devon-archer-witness-testimony
I mean, it is strange that GOP would want to keep bringing up their humiliating attempt. It only highlights their cosmic failure in the effort. It is certainly possible there is some wrong doing on Biden's part. But we've seen nothing valid to point to that conclusion.
Middle class joe - public servant for the last 50 years seems to have quite the lifestyle. Interesting how that all worked out.
