I think Sengun will end up being like Jimmy Butler in the sense that he won't put up superstar numbers but will be more valuable than most of them due him impacting the game in so many different ways unlike them.
Some of our own fans might still not want to acknowledge it, but it is obvious from opposing teams' game plans that they are entirely focused (unsuccessfully) on trying to stop Alpi, with all they have, when facing the Houston Rockets.
Just like Nuggets fans will never stop talking about Jokic, OKC fans won't stop talking about Shai, Mavs fans won't stop talking about Doncic, Celtics fans won't stop talking about Tatum, Warriors fans won't stop talking about Curry. It hurts, I know, but that's where we are. A decade of fun and chasing "Sengunatics" ahead for you. Sorry.
it's the incessant gloating and I-told-you-so that separates gunatics from normal fans of other stars
It will magically stop when denial is no longer considered a river in Egypt. That has not happened yet.
Me too. As of today, there are still important people who would rather bite off their tongue than simply acknowledge where we are at. And you can complain about "gloating", but if people got ridiculed and mocked for the longest time and told they were just imagining things and then turn out to have been correct, they will want to point that out. You seem to agree with that in the D&D, but not here.
Glad to see you are happy that a Rockets player won WC player of the week, though. I can see the JOY.
