Another fantastic game. He may be the most underappreciated Rocket at the moment.

Jabari Smith Jr. tonight against the toughest opponent in the Conference: 15 pts, 14 rbs, 3 blks, and +10 (the best on the team).
I'm going to sit on the couch with a beer in my hand and read the idiots who keep criticizing a 21 year old kid.

I think Bari is playing better and better every day but I wish you didn't brag about +10, when FVV is -2, Sengun is 0, and JG is 8...nevertheless, his numbers are excellent!

Smith is finally coming around. Shepherd will too, but I don't think it will take that long. Shepherd is like a college sophmore. What is he 19?

I liked how decisive he was today. He got the ball when he was open and he shot it, which seems simple, but that's a big step for him. By far the most annoying part of his game for me is when he gets the ball wide open from 3, takes 2 dribbles inside the 3 point arc directly into his defender, and rises up for a contested 2 from 20 feet. I'm not sure he did that at all today.

Jabari Smith Jr. (born May 13, 2003). Reed Sheppard (born June 24, 2004). One year apart...

Jalen should have been pulled out earlier by Udoka near the end of the game. His defense isn't good enough to offset his lack of shooting. Reed showed more confidence in this game. He was ready and willing to shoot the 3 when Sengun passed it to him.
He should take some of Jalen's minutes.

Sign Jabari to the 5 years 15m per. Would be instantly be one of the best contracts in the league.

I don’t care what y’all say . I think Jabari is the key for us to be an elite team . I love his development and i remember reading before the draft that cause of how skinny and young he is , it’s gonna take him longer to develop compared to banchero. I’m very proud of how he has turned things around

He is actually 3 months and a half younger than Amen Thompson, and 2 years younger than Tari Eason

There’s no way he’d drop out of the top 10 :D

That might be a little too good to be true, but if we could get anything under about 50% of their max for Jabari and Tari in the offseason that would be incredibly helpful for keeping the core together, and I can kinda-sorta see it happening. Jabari is notoriously hard on himself and might be willing to take a pay cut for the team believing in him. And as good as Tari's been, he's still been coming off the bench and missed most of last season, and I don't see him starting anytime soon. (He's probably behind Amen on the depth chart.)

I think both of them will be closer to the max than 50%. Can just go to rfa and get a max offer from some crappy team like Detroit

Probably true but at least Jalen and Alpi set a precedent of taking less, so we can hope the other young guys might follow suit to some degree or another.

I guess he can ball vs OKC when Chet isn't there to take his cookies.

Jalen did not take less, he got overpaid massively. Sengun didn’t want to risk waiting a year for the max, it’s not like he was offered a max and said nahhh i’ll take less to help the team.
