Thank goodness they did for the Cowboys game. The one time this year I placed a bet in the Texans this year and it was the over. Friends tried to get me on the over last Sunday and I said no...
Offense carried by Nico and Mixon every week and the defense had zero sacks and made Mac Jones look amazing. So inspiring…
I just don't see the Texans beating any of the potential teams they'll play in the Wild Card round. But there's still a few games left to make me feel otherwise. Although playing 3 games in 10 days isn't something to feel good about.
Another "subpar" performance but Texans get the dub. 8-5 record -- only 3 of those wins did I consider impressive/good.
It's sad when you see backup quarterbacks on crappy teams play better than Stroud. We are lucky Jones didn't come in until 4:30 minutes left in the first half. I expected a win, so a I'll take it, ugly or not. I am just disgusted by Azeez Al-Shaair and his dirty hit. The last thing we need is for him to be suspended when we face the Chiefs and Ravens. Stupid!!!! We didn't need that BS to win.
We'll be underdogs but nobody is all that good. Ravens lost to vegas and the browns, KC barely beat the panthers and nearly lost to vegas. Lions look good but we also smashed them w/o nice or WAJ and playing them would be a nice problem to have.
Ugly win but a win all the same. The good thing about the last few games is we're either going to go into the playoffs with a crap ton of momentum or not. So let's see what happens. I do agree the Ravens and Chiefs don't look that good this year and we already beat the Bills. If we can at least play those teams close, who knows, the NFL is all about Any Given Sunday. Let's hope that this is just one of those situations where the team gets hot at the right time, not that I'm counting on it, but stranger things have happened in the NFL playoffs.
This team makes things more difficult than they should be. But we made it to the bye week: Think how differently people would be talking if Dell makes a catch he makes 10/10 times in GB. Stroud's happy feet doesn't get the best of him on that one wide open bootleg v Detroit or the TDs don't get call back on penalties. It's a 3 game swing. All self inflicted. It's that small of margin. Reset and get to the playoffs.
The Texans won and I'm happy about that, but otherwise I have nothing good to say about them today. There is a decent possibility that today's win will be the last game they win this regular season.
See, to me, this seems like an easier win than the score indicated. The offense played well in the 2nd half. The defense played well overall. The big thing is that Demeco saw a 17 point lead and a JAX offense that hadn't scored a TD in 25 possessions and decided to take his foot off the gas and play the clock game with 12 minutes left. I don't know why that kind of BS is still a thing.
Right before the Titans game, Hannah Storm said something I didn't take into consideration. The bye week being so late and this is the first time the Texans have been out of their noon slot in 3 straight games. "It's just something else for the team to adjust to."
Just win. wish the defense didn’t **** the bed in the 4th but happy the offense iced it. That did make me feel good.
