With Memorial day, I've entered the gulag of what I consider my Summer Gauntlet of Pomp: Memorial Day Father's Day Wife's Birthday My Birthday Anniversary (DANGER: 20th requires high pomp!) 4th of July Now, granted, I enjoy all of these days and feel like some tooting, words and flag waving is appropriate. But the junk food, time commitment and sheer exhaustion is rough, my dudes. Keep me sane.
That's like the last week of December for me: Christmas Eve/FIL Birthday Christmas Day Boxing Day/Anniversary Daughter's Birthday {take a breath} New Year's Eve
Outside of small presents for few people at the office. Pretty much not had to actually celebrate Christmas in the last 10 years. No music, no wreath, no tree and no presents, just a greeting. Let me tell you something, it's pretty fantastic.
My wife is a rockstar and handles the Christmas decorations for the most part. I come out and hang a few special ornaments with the kids, then assist the chosen kid of the year with the tree topper. I'm in charge of the lawn inflatables. Nice weather this year. Four of them had bad fans/blowers, if you need some fan replacements, there are some good deals on Amazon right now.
How easy is it to replace the fans? Most of the time, it's my adapter that dies, not the blower itself. Not sure if it's the weather or the extended use that causes them to die. So I started using timers to turn them off for 30 min after 2 hours of runtime and putting the plugs into outdoor weatherproof boxes.
