There’s no way that was the actual play they drew. I think Udoka has some tricks up his sleeve in those situations and I am pretty sure the plan wasn’t to have Sengun dribble a couple of times and take a middy. I think they were hoping they would sag off one of the guys and clamp on Sengun leaving someone free. It didn’t work. All our guys were smirking and didn’t seem upset or deflated to me as they walked over to the bench, it was probably a broken play.
It doesn’t have to be one guy. Right now this is a real team, with everyone contributing. Sengun can be the guy down the stretch bc he can get easy buckets down low.
I can’t believe how some experienced posters here still fall for trolls and haters like rocketchamp. So obvious he/she feeds off of you trying to prove something and making apparent trolling look like a meaningful conversation. If everyone could just ignore him like AroundTheWorld does he/she would probably just disappear from here (or log in from one of many fake accounts to reply to himself).
What is the main reason for your Sengun hate? Because even a child brain knows that Sengun is this teams superstar and best player.. I just wonder what Sengun did to you or near someone? Because your arguments are stoopid, dumb and only a moron write comments like you. I
This is a great video. One thing I wanted to say is that while Alpi has clearly greatly improved his defense this season, he was NEVER as bad as he was made out to be by some. Any center would look bad as the last line of defense when his guards are KPJ and Jalen (the version of Jalen who wasn't held accountable AT ALL on defense), plus a Bari who came in highly overrated as a defender, and whoever else the fifth person on the court would be. That would automatically place the blame for any team defensive lapses on the last man in the chain. Jalen and KPJ didn't play ANY defense at all. Just like any center will look better as the last line of defense when sharing the court with Amen Thompson, Dillon Brooks, Tari Eason (all three of whom are amazing defenders, and all have a dawg attitude), and other players (Jalen, Jabari, whoever else) who are actually being held accountable for their defense, or lack thereof. Finally, as to the missed bunnies around the rim, I am convinced he will improve on that. I expect his stat line this season to end up being above 20/10/5 with more than a steal and a block per game, and FG % above .500 and FT % not much worse than .750. Not quite Jokic-like TS %, but better defense. He has the third highest total plus/minus in the league behind Tatum and Shai. He will be an all-star this season, and an MVP candidate in the future. The Rockets are a contender this season.
I did some edits for you... One thing I wanted to say is that while Alpi has clearly greatly improved his defense this season, he was NEVER as bad as he was made out to be by some. Any center would look bad as the last line of defense when his guards are KPJ and Jalen (the version of Jalen who wasn't held accountable AT ALL (PERIOD)), plus a Bari who came in highly overrated as a defender, and whoever else the fifth person on the court would be. That would automatically place the blame for any team defensive lapses on the last man in the chain. Jalen and KPJ didn't play ANY BASKETBALL at all. (THIS IS NOT A FULL SENTENCE. HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE SAYING HERE) Finally, as to the missed bunnies around the rim, I am convinced he will improve on that. I'm pretty sure it's just a mentally handicapped guy. I think he has a learning disability or something. It reminds me of talking to my 4 year old nephew saying "I didn't eat any pumpkin pie" while he has pumpkin pie on his face.
