Next step for the Alperen haters (which has already started) is to anoint Amen as the best player and "only superstar" on the roster. I think Alpi and Amen are both fantastic. But it's very predictable that the "Jalen is the core" folks will pivot soon.
Without Alpi, no players in this team including Amen can not achieve anything. This team goes where Alpi wants to take team. This is Alpi's team.. Not no one else.
You are the only one that cares. We have a great core of young players. Crowning one of them the best player on the team is juvenile. We get it, Sengun is good. Just a week ago you wanted to bench Jabari for Tari, how's that working out? Why have you dedicated your life to insuring this board thinks Sengun is the best? Amen is starting to challenge your god as the best on the team in some people's eyes. So what? Grow up.
I like sengun as well but some sengunatics are so fixated with self proclaim titles like numero uno or the franchise player that they can't really enjoy the game if sengun isn't in the spot light at all time. It has to b sengun's team or nobody else type mentality. Enjoy the wins. If folks praise amen's talent and potential to b the superstar who cares?
Honestly I am one of Sengun's biggest fans but I pray Amen reaches his full potential and becomes a better player than Sengun. That's our recipe for a championship. Amen has generational talent and athleticism, he can do things Sengun never can and he's also a very smart player. He has the recipe for it.
Nerve touched. Also, I still think Tari is way better than Bari. Happy that Bari has become a better role player than at the start of the season though.
Quite incredible how Sengun is carving a niche as a defensive force. Before Ime got here, that was practically an inconceivable notion. But the guy is atop the Defensive Win share in the whole NBA. His offensive Win share is lacking as his points are down, his shooting percentages are down, etc. But for Ime’s teams to be work as intended, he needs a defensive minded center. And woah, Alpi has turned into a defensive stalwart. He’s upped his blockers per game from .7 last season to 1.3; and that shows he’s putting in the work. Also Alpi has reduced his personal foul per game by about 1. He’s increased his rebound per game from 9.4 to 10.5. Alpi is definitely putting himself in the conversation as a top 10 player in the league.
His mid game fg% is 52%. (highest on the team and FVv is pretty good at it.) He should use it more. It was at 50% the last time I posted about it three weeks ago. He also shoots the 3 better from the corners and should avoid the top of the arch 3s. Morley could have told you that. Amen 42% corner threes!! Holiday 100% Small sample size, sure,
I'm just sick of all the one trick poinies on this board. You and BTG are 2 of the most proiific posters on this board and regurgitate the same tired points over and over. Maybe branch out a little and talk about how the TEAM can improve other than just the constant storm of stats and praise for one player. It's just getting old.
But...but...Bruno...lob threat...will never be an anchor defensively...can't guard at the basket or away... ...I wonder what other stupid notion our 22 year old still developing center will absolutely demolish next.
For most sengunatics it's never about the team. It's about sengun being the man. Like this thread alone is a tribute to the man's greatness. U can bet your ass some sengunatics get triggered if someone is hyping another said player to b "franchise" player. It's weirdo player only fans behavior. We had one sengunatics calling amen low bbiq, just wild.
