Good game, great comeback, solid team effort, but classic case of not having a real closer on the team who can execute down the stretch. Still, we are in the discussion.
So grateful that the Auburn and Alabama games are in November and not in March. Hope we can learn something and move on.
I'm tight about that terrible call on that bama player slipping Good effort late in the 4th but just ran out of legs in OT. Have to be better about staying out of foul trouble. Our starting 5 is too experience to be struggling with that.
When I saw "6'10" top center" I expected it to be one of those big, lumbering types, but this guy can dribble and shoot threes better than some of the current guards on the team.
Besides the terrible officiating, i was frustrated by the lack of explanation of how this tournament/festival works. You get $1.5 million if you are "top 4"? How does that work? Can the Cougars still get the money?
The format for the groups is the same. Each team plays two games in its group, and after Wednesday’s games are completed, each group will be seeded one through four. Seeding will be determined by overall record. In the event of a tie, seeding will be determined by, in order: Head-to-head record Total point differential of both games played in the group, with a cap of plus or minus 20 per game Total points scored Total points allowed https://www.playersera.com/thanksgiving-festival So i guess we need to blow out ND and for Bama to do the same to Rutgers? I think that would guarantee a top 4 finish
This is a frustrating team lol Its always been like this under Sampson, but they have to find a way to create better looks. If the first option is not there, this team just melts.
Start the season against Auburn, Alabama, and SD State is not an easy task. Unfortunately, might be 3 losses for all 3.
For sure, but these are all games we've lead late into the 2nd half. Gotta find a way to get some easy buckets.
Bad week. Even the win against Notre Dame wasn't impressive. Still very early, but Uzan is looking like a major downgrade. It was going to be a downgrade, but didn't have to be this much. If he's not going to be a reliable scorer, then he has to be a reliable leader/playmaker down the stretch of games. He's been playing too long to drive to the basket, jump in the air, then not know what to do with the ball. I think Miller should be getting Wilson's minutes off the bench. Not enough scorers. Too many droughts.
Can't seem to beat the good teams. Likely will drop out of the top ten maybe the top twenty. They don't seem to be as well conditioned as previous Sampson teams. However, conference hasn't started, and it all is about where you are in March.
