I went to the game tonite, & whilst I noticed that mostly the backups were going to play most of the minutes, I never did see Mo T make it in the game. He isn't hurt or anything, is he? or suspended again? Oh, and one more thing - Lue looked pretty damn good!
No joke man. Mo and Shandon both have three years remaining on their deals. And while Mo and Juwan duplicate abilities, Shandon gives us something that we're missing: A guy with no shot, no trade value, and an amazing ability to sit on the bench.
They mentioned on the telecast last night that they were holding him out for a game due to being banged up or something. Spoon was held out too as he has some kind of leg injury.
I think JVG just wants to see how the new guys play. He's seen Mo's game. And Spoon's. He wants his newbies out there to see who's got what. -- droxford
I think you're right. Mo played at the "open practice" and was the same old Mo. Never passes, but hit his shots. Howard and Padgett need more playing time with the starters right now.
what a nice rebounder padgett is. if he could just learn how to guard the perimeter he would be a great back-up 3.
LOL, Willis... Didn't we learn our lesson last time w/ shanden? I know a lot of you don't like Mo, but we have to be able to do better than Shanden....please....
This is true, MO has sold his house in Windsor lakes just this past week....His moms house here in Kelliwood estates isnt up for sale though, I think there maybe more behind the JVG not playing him thing...
my last post got me thinking. not many teams would take mo. the few that will don't allways have somone we could use. some of those teams can't make anything work cap-wise. here is what i thought of: boston might be interested. they have nothing we could use except for cap space. stewart & googs both have ending contracts. dallas might be interested in mo. again all we could probably get is cap space. this time its allan henderson's expiring contract. the most likely trade (if there is one) could be indiana. mo for cro. it was discussed last year around the deadline. cro could back-up at the 3, and prove usefull in making a very tall line-up: yao-howard-cro-tmac-ward then, we can allways dream. mo for wally? it works. and minny was talking about a wally for kurt thomas swap.
Chuck 4, the addition of Shandon wasn't without other problems with the team (aging Hakeem and turnover Francis). Shandon's game is post-play and running the court. Not 3-pt shooting (Rudy's game plan). His only two good years (.510 and .370) at the 3PT line should be evidence of that. Blaming Shannon for our past woes is like blaming Moochie for not leading us to a championship. Shandon was just a good guard/foward. Nothing more, nothing less. As far as MoT. Yes. I'd rather keep him. I like him coming off the bench. He'll give us some good firepower there.
Crap. I had just finished exhausting all possible trades, and resigned myself to untradeable status, figuring out how to use him. Now I'm all itchy with hate again. Trade ? What trade? Where, where!
I'm assuming Mo isn't hurting badly since he is going to China. We will need his scoring off the bench.
if the rockets give mo up fr nothing iam threw with them .howard is not even close to mo t ,bit everybody wants to keep howard.dude is soft as a napkin.
