I can't believe she was ever considered to replace Calvin. Maybe because that stuff isn't scripted.

Come after a year and more than 82 games i am sure she would have her stuff down by now.

Thank god her game was a lot better than her reporting ability. Im sure there is a slew of people that would love to report for the Rockets this year with all this hype....and probably a lot cuter

 

I thought most people where kind of hard on her last year,but its true.she is really bad.

 

i thought she was trying to make a joke or something. it was odd but everyone makes mistakes. Bill said Bateer was the 1st Chinese player in the NBA when it was Wang. Chancellor pronounced "Centers" as "Sooners"

 

I didn't watch the game (sorry, xCharged), but I am officially starting a "BOOT THE COOP" campaign. Do you think we'll be higher in the polls than Bush or Kerry?

Maybe it will just give us enough artillery to do more "FIRE COOP" threads... allright... keep them coming...

 

The new one-two punch of Cooper and Van Chancellor is all but unbearable. The WNBA cross promotion needs to stop; it makes baby Jesus cry.

without a doubt, cooper is BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!

and it looks like she's gotten pretty fat since her playing days...

that whole channel 51 broadcast looks like it's being produced outta someone's garage....

 

It really is a joke alltogether. The sound, Cynthia Cooper, everything. If you haven't done this already, next time there is a game on ESPN and 51, flip back and forth and notice the picture and sound quality difference. It's almost unbelievable the NBA would even let a team go with a station that puts that sh*tty of a product out. Having said all that, I do love the fact that you don't have to have cable in H-Town to see almost every Rockets game.

 

yeah i agree. .channel 51 has some crappy reception.... a few years ago, when they were still on WB... or fssw, it was aLOT better. I've heard that channel 51 was thinking about upgrading the electronics, but.. not sure if that will go into effect.

Also, in 2005?.. i think the Houston Sports Network will start broadcasting... i could be wrong.

 

I was at the game last night and while I was walking around Van and Cynthia were walking together. It was funny because there were people everywhere and most were looking at them and just walking by. Of course there's always some that want autographs, but most seemed uninterested. I even heard a guy comment on Van's voice as he walked by saying how annoying it is. I'm glad I'm not the only one that can't stand it.

That was the worst thing I've ever seen, even from her. She's so clueless.

She's making the "did I just fart?"quizzical face all too familiar. It's very non-pleasing to the eyes. Watch her face when she's not talking - it's horrible.

There's a career in an out-of-town radio job waiting for her. She needs grab the bull by the horns and get started in it. I'll buy the one-way ticket (if she needs the financial assistance).

 

Dubya's had that face down for years. Imagine Coop and Dubya doing a talk show together.

 

I think I'm going to change my approach to watching Coop. Up till now, I've been getting upset and wanting to throw things at my TV because she's so very VERY bad.

Now, I'm going to watch her segments as comedy. If you think of it that way, this stuff is priceless. Coop is the Mr. Bean of sportscasters.

 

I think I going to do what was brought up after the CM incident.
Mute the TV and have the radio on...
