He didn't touch the ref and they admitted after the game that it was in fact a foul committed against him at the end(although it would've been 2 free throws instead of 3). It shouldn't be more than 2 games at most.
I don't know, he got very close to poking the ref and may have done so had the ref not moved his head at the last moment. Also, I expect the NBA will see this as a threat against a referee and come down pretty hard. FVV has been awesome for the Rockets, but this was a very dumb and unexpected move. However many games FVV misses, Udoka will have his work cut out for him.
When do we find out how much Fred is getting fined? I don't get why people think he's going to get suspended. Nobody has been suspended for saying words in the history of the NBA, to my recollection. They need to fine him and move on
It’s happened a few times, one game for threatening language. I seem to remember someone else getting a longer suspension for a slur against a gay ref. Fred might get one game for his outburst, that’s probably fair.
Crazy how much power a ref has. Can make terrible calls and rig games and nothing happens to them. Fred said a few curse words and gets a 50k fine.
