The world's richest man is now seemingly inseparable from the world's most powerful office. Some are calling it "broligarchy".

"The broligarchs of today, the group of billionaires from tech and finance, have an actual political program. They want to remake the world in their image."

*Megadonors now sponsor candidates like prize racehorses."

"But what I have to question is: is this still democracy? If so, how can it be that there is a handful of people in our country who have amassed so much wealth that they can effectively buy the politicians and the policies they want."

"Basically, oligarchs have determined who the candidates are and what the agenda is going to be." "Now it's about changing politics to their vision of what it should be. They are very public and loud about that, and it's an environment where elite, white men rule everybody else.

"It's this idea that some people are born to rule, and other people are born to serve and obey, and I'll let you guess which group you and I are supposed to belong to."

Let me say this again so I do not offended the respectable Democrats - The modern Democrat party is absolutely nothing like the Democrats of the 60's. The modern Democrat party resembles more of a religious/fanatical ultra leftist that mimics the 20th century American Christian. Hate the sin, not the sinner .... but if you're a sinner, we will chastise you and run you down until you conform and comply. (Democrats call this becoming born again Woke).

That said, I gladly accept this version over what the Democrats have become.

What a lazy attempt to try and deflect from the central and only question the OP was asking. You didnt even try to find a way to relate to his question about big tech oligarchy and money in politics before you went on a rant about your grievances with liberals.

This is also just a repeat diatribe from a couple months ago which is almost copy and paste from a Nate Cohn piece that Russian Bots flooded the internet with that was all about how the Democratic party’s downfall started in the 60’s when the Dixiecrats (who were literally pro Confederacy) got pushed out after the Civil Rights legislation passed under LBJ. You saying you’ll “gladly accept” the version of the Democratic Party that held pro confederacy views really says something.

Regardless… the OP wasn’t asking for your diatribe on the Democratic Party. He was asking if you thought billionaires should be able to buy elections. Answer the question or shut up. Nobody cares about your Kremlin talking points.

The difference is that now one of them is actually in charge of our country by proxy, tied to Trump's hip more than his wife, and Trump's gifting all his other billionaire buddies and big donors to be in charge of policies that benefit them most. Quid pro Quo at the highest level.

In charge of the country, yep.
Con man? Doesn't matter (in fact, it helps a lot).
    Thief? Doesn't matter.
    Malignant narcissist? Doesn't matter.
    Liar?
Traitor / insurrectionist (hell, Brazil wouldn't let Bolsanaro run again, and it's a "second world" country)?
    RAPIST?

Hey, at least he isn't a black chick, amiright?
