The offense would be fine if the plays I've described were made.

Lions game was there for the taking without the lolipop throw, was that on Slowik?

Was the throws to Collins/Mixon that probably been TD's Slowik's fault. BTW, Dare was wide open on this play.

Was the throw to Dell on 3rd and inches Slowik's fault?

You 2 are definitely Bobby only fans and no matter what it will never be Bobby's fault...

I get it now... Bobby is the greatest OC that the NFL has ever seen...

You’re all right.. Stroud is having a down year and missing throws, Nico and mixon have been out, Dell is near the top of the league in drop %, and the OLine has regressed. Slowik has shown to be a good OC when Stroud is other-worldly, Nico and Dell are both acting like 1’s, and the OLine can cover basic stunts.

The problem with Slowik is not that he is a bad OC, it’s that when everything isn’t going swimmingly he has zero ability to adjust. Can’t call plays to maximize what he has instead. And can’t make it easier on anyone.

Which, actually, does kinda make him a bad OC. But it also makes all your points valid.

He feels to me like the definition of mediocrity or Peter Principle. He knows the playbook and can run someone else’s design, but he can’t create or adapt.

He’s a mechanic, not an engineer.

I think we just don’t know for sure if Bobby is any good, he is still very inexperienced. The stellar play of CJ and the emergence of Nico surely covered up a lot of deficiencies last year. This season is far from over, let’s have a little faith.

I want us to be way more aggressive on offense all the time.

I honestly hope Bobby gets hired away from the Texans for a chance to get a real OC.

Another mixed bag. The TD to Stover, getting Tank Dell open with Dalton being the decoy was genius, along with the called back TD.
But when the broadcasting crew in frustration asks why do you keep running inside zone at Simmons, you might have a false sense of bravado. All wasted downs.

I still believe in CJ long term 100000% but he has absolutely sucked for most of this season, that can't be denied. We expected to have the 5th best qb in the league, but have had more like the 25th best this season.

I dare the media to Question the greatest OC in the league and his decisions....

It's not Bobby fault... Its the entire offense and Head Coach fault...

    They know nothing...

CJ has lost his confidence...A coach can make or break a young qb and confidence is highly important for them...

The most important thing right now is too put CJ in a position to get his confidence back and everything else will fall in place...

I know a lot of people on this thread don't believe it's Bobby's fault, but he's the OC and the QB coach... so yes it's on him....

Cj has taken some thunderous hits and now he's shell shocked and he has happy feet... Fix your game plan for quick timing routes and ditch the routes that take time to develop..

Is it true that many people think Bobby has no blame for the team's issues? I haven't seen that sentiment. Maybe one or two but a lot? IDK and it is not important

I don’t believe CJ is mentally weak to the point where poor O-line performance has broken him after just half a season. At least, I hope not, because if he is, then he’s not the player I thought he was. That said, I do think Bobby shares some of the blame. Hopefully, it’s as simple as removing Bobby and seeing CJ return to the form he showed last year

this isn't tenable unless Slowik is fired, which I'm all for
