Rocketchump is the biggest idiot on the board. Complaining about Sengun in a game where Green was 1-9 from 3. He openly pulls for Sengun to play poorly so as not to show up his hero.

The game should have been decided in the 3rd. There were 5 Blazers with 4 fouls, Rockets did not use that advantage well. All their fouls worked on their favor at the end. They fouled Alperen 10 times. Also, he should have an easy double double with assists if shooting was not that terrible.

+ Simons makes fun of our team most games, deserves some hate. I guess he would be proud of being hated :D

That's absurd. This has been discussed for so many times and still people don't understand modern basketball. Go look at standing last season and sort it by 3P percentage, I don't want to post it again and I have been posting it here thousand of times, the bottom standing teams are the teams that have poor 3P percentage. Pistons had 20 games+ losing streaks and they were the worst regarding the 3P shootings. THis is modern NBA, defense can only get you so far. If you look at the final few possessions, the Portland completely give up the 3P line and dare you shoot it, all five players packed the paint which made post-up and cutting extremely difficult. We played good enough defense and grabbed enough rebounds to win the game, but the 30 point deficit on threes which was why we lost the game. It is quite simple. Most of those open 3s Jalen and FVV had were like practice 3s and even Westbrook can shoot better than 1/15 on those shots.

udoka going back to what he did last year unfortunately. FVV dominating touches along with over reliance on Sengun. JG in the corner

Not sure FVV is the best option late with the ball, Amen is much better at getting my his man on the dribble.

There was some chicanery. In the end though Simons hit a big time shot. He earned it.

You know I would feel okay with how Jalen is shooting with the knowledge that we could let him walk in free agency.

Stone in his infinite idiocy decided to reward the most consistantly bad player who has proven nothing to a large contract with a f ing PO. I don't know about you guys, but I cannot take another three years of watching Jalen play.

Also, let FVV walk in free agency and get someone who can shoot. Jalen and FVV áre building entire cities with this amount of bricks. Unreal horrible shooting.

But don't you get it? That's how you make it about Sengun somehow. Reality, being honest, being fair is overrated and frankly annoying concepts that get in the way when you have an agenda. That's the age we live in.

Just finished watching. The clutch play was poor.

    A. If FVV is off, he needs to find a pass. Also what the flop?!? His final 3 attempt was embarrassing.
    B. If Alpy has a midget guarding him he needs to be more decisive more quickly and go TOWARDS THE HOOP instead of fading away
    C. Paging Jalen Green. Is Jalen Green in the building?? We may as well just bench him until after the all star break. It seems a proven thing that he can't deliver until then.

Just strange offense we have. FVV Sengun 2 man game isn’t going to do it and we rely on the bench to win games. It’s absurd. Really baffling to me how our offensive sets are. Green tucked away in the corner away from the action looking for a baseline cut or lob. Or he swings around for a DHO. The action sucks. Then you have tired old FVV Sengun PNR or Sengun 1 on 1 high post dribble drive with 4 guys standing around. The offense is miserable. Absolutely miserable

Holy **** how much were the refs assholes??

also that last ref to get told he's an ******* is a flopper

I'm sure the refereeing fraternity will be willing to listen to Fred's well reasoned arguments and we will be receiving some Rocket-friendly officiating for the next few games

The final minute looked like a blooper reel. Portland got good shots, while Sengun and FVV tried to flail their way to a basket. Sengun getting blocked was stupid. FVV thinking he drew a foul then chunking a wack 3 attempt was idiotic. He could've at least adjusted mid-shot by passing to Amen who was only 4' away from him after the whistle wasn't blown.

BUT.... the game was too close in the first place. I only watched the final 8 minutes, and it seems the Rockets didn't give enough effort for the entirety of the game. Perhaps we took Portland lightly after yesterday's game. That's why we were down 8 and needed the final minute to go almost perfectly. It did not.

I think Fred done that out of embarrassment. We had a chance to tie and he muffed it. Then he went full on villain

I can't stand watching him play. He's the main reason I barely watch them play anymore, because he still gets far too many minutes for someone that shoots so bad more than half the time. I enjoy the games so much more when he's on the bench. I can't wait until he's gone. I wish they had traded him last year.

    Your just wrong.

This team isnt efficient. Hasnt been efficient. Wont be efficient.

We win games by playing tough, gritty defense. We win the the over battle. And we dominate the rebounding battle and get more shots up.

Thats our style, and thats how we have played and won all year, including last year.

Will we be a champion with this model? No...

That doesnt change who we are as an above average very good team. This game was very much our style. We didn't secure the rebound battle and lost. We got out rebounded by 10.

Not only did fred and jalen shoot piss poor. So did every other starter. Yet we were a possession away at the end. If we win the possession and rebound battle, we make up for our piss poor efficiency and likely win.

Bad shooting didnt cost us this game, poor rebounding did. Good shooting could have made up for it but that didnt happen from anyone.

Yeah, rebounding is always a factor when you already know you suck at shooting.

Rockets prob have a 30% chance of winning any game if they're outrebounded, especially by 10.

Rebounding and defense take effort. Rockets prob took Portland lightly after last night and the overall effort was lacking tonight.
