Yes!! Please!! Leads league in 4th quarter scoring. He's a closer with vision. Not afraid of the moment and he's only 23 averaging 30, 5, 6 this year
Offer everyone but Sengun Amen and Tari with all the picks for Ball and offer to take bad contracts. Hornets could start over with Cooper Flagg and some our potential young core
I used to hate that Duncan Robinson contract but I guess he’ll be an expiring contract next season and he’s a legit shooter. If the rockets don’t have to give up anything of significant value it might be worth making a deal.
BR proposed it similarly with Landale. I would try to sub Adams. But that contract is not too bad as long as he brings the shooting.
LaMelo is the opposite of what Ime's trying to build here. No defense, high-usage and immature, who's been out with injury for nearly half the games in his career. Plus he's not the most efficient, which is the last thing we need more of. There are plenty of great PGs in the league without that type of baggage, we just have to wait til one becomes available. I'd like to bring Fox home if the Kings flame out again this year.
He's extremely efficient in the 4th quarter and in the clutch. Half the baggage you're talking about mostly stems from the preconceived notion of the Ball family and Lavar. The kid is fearless and coachable
So you mean the exact same as Green before Ime got here, except he's a better player with a higher basketball IQ.
He is better than Green and he's also not the answer. We're in a unique place where we're a good team with tons of talent under 23, we don't have to settle on someone who isn't a great fit or doesn't play winning ball. The NBA is chock full of talent, we have the luxury of sticking with developing this group until an ideal player becomes available -- and that's not LaMelo.
When you say “he is finally healthy” it should raise a red flag. I love his game, but just like Zion, it is a gamble. So is Embid, so is KD, so is AD. Amen is our future PG. If we do a consolidation trade it should be for a SG that can shoot.
After this season he will have a year left on his current deal so he may want out if they don’t make a deep run in the playoffs. Some Kings fans feel they can build around Keegan Murray as well. Right now though with the way Fox is playing it’s not something the Kings will probably entertain. It would be after this season most likely if/when his name starts to come up in these conversations.
Fair enough. But Lamelo can also play SG and is a great spot up shooter and he actually cuts off ball. Versatile offensively
