It's weird because stat wise the game was close, but the score was terrible. We gave up some big plays and our QB was out. Bauer was not very good and he had more rushing attempts than our top RB. Hopefully they can get back in the win column next week.

That was one of the ugliest games I've ever seen. Actually, I didn't see it because I wasn't home but I got home just in time to see the game-winning drive.

Looks like we're going to a bowl! I predict the New Orleans Bowl against James Madison.

Didn't watch it by but from seeing the score, that sounds like a not very good game. Still...we're eligible in our first year of eligibility. I think only 3 teams have done that before. That's fantastic and really cements the legacy of KC Keeler.

Man, I'd sure love to win out and beat Liberty.

Liberty lost, so if they get it together, there's still a chance (need someone to beat WKU) to win the conference.

Liberty still has to play both Jax St. and WKU, both @ Liberty.

Best case scenario (as of right now) is that Liberty wins both of those games. Then everyone has 1 loss.

Another UGLY win. Defense looked like the 85 Bears, though.

    7-2!

Unfortunately (and not...but for other reasons) Liberty is falling apart. Jax St. beat them. So now they and WKU remain undefeated. Need to win out and hope that WKU loses 2 of their last 4 (which include Liberty and Jax).

Bearkats receive vote in AFCA FBS Top 25 Poll

    https://www.itemonline.com/sports/bearkats-receive-vote-in-afca-fbs-top-25-poll/article_1f878b78-a5cd-11ef-8ba9-3f30270edfe8.html

In its second year of being an FBS Program, Sam Houston football has already put other coaches on notice.

The Bearkats are coming off a 23-17 overtime win over Kennesaw State to move to 8-2 on the year. With that, Sam Houston received its first-ever vote in the American Football Coaches Association’s Top 25.

While the one vote doesn’t give the Bearkats a ranking, it shows that coaches are starting to take note of the Sam Houston program on a national level.

Well dammit, yall were going to be my secondary game this morning but my sports package evidently carries every channel on earth except CBSSports.

Is it on any of the streaming services?

I don’t think we’re going to get to keep that vote.

Well that sucked. Ugly boring offense finally caught up with us.

We can still clinch a berth in the championship game with a win over Liberty and a Western Kentucky loss to J-State. Hopefully J-State won't rest their starters, since they don't really have anything to play for.

Nice hard fought win over Falwell U.
Guess we’re rooting for Jax St tomorrow so that we get another shot at them in the championship game

Sucks, but it was inevitable. He's from that part of the country and all his family is up there. I've heard that his wife has really been wanting to move back up there to be with her family and their kids/grandkids. He's 65 - he doesn't seem that old at all.

I hope we go after Clinton Killough at Incarnate Word. If you can win there, you can certainly win at Sam Houston.

    Some more names being mentioned:

    UNLV OC Brennan Marion
    Georgia Tech OC Buster Faulkner
    Nebraska DC Tony White
    Georgia DC Glenn Schumann
    Texas RB Coach Tashard Choice

How about an alum? Current Minnesota Vikings QB coach, Josh McCown could be a fun choice.
