Because of NIL and the transfer portal, we may no longer see ultra-dominant SEC teams rule college football every year. Now, everybody is "cheating", Alabama and UGA don't have a monopoly on money and can no longer stockpile players like they used to. Watch out for SMU going forward. They might become the best football program in the ACC. This is just the first year anyone has paid attention to them.

What kind of players does SMU have? So many Texas HS football players are still fundamentally broken. Do they have the coaching + strength and conditioning dept to get soft Texas HS players to compete against the SEC or Big10? I don't really buy it. ACC - different story. I don't buy that SMU has as much money as yall think they do. They supposedly raised a bunch of fast-money and marketed the hell out of doing so. UH has 1 guy donating that kind of money. And they're still nowhere close to UT/TAMU. BUT yeah, the ACC really does suck IMO.
