In The News: Fahrenheit 9/11, Martha and More! Friday, October 8, 2004 MUST-SEE TV?: Michael Moore is this close to inking a deal with pay-per-view giant In Demand to bring Fahrenheit 9/11 to television on Nov. 1 — one night before the big election. According to Variety, The Michael Moore Pre-Election Special will consist of a screening of Fahrenheit 9/11 bookended by interviews with "politically committed" celebrities who'll discuss the charges leveled in the movie and the importance of voting. The three-hour anti-Dubya extravaganza will cost $9.95 and every purchase comes with a package of Ramen noodles, a pair of slightly used boxer briefs and a Clorox Bleach Pen. Link
I was hoping something like this would happen, but it would be even better if they made it a free broadcast on a major network.
like who? FOX? CBS/UPN wouldn't dare after Rathergate ABC? Disney wouldn't release it in theaters that leaves NBC or WB.
What's more interesting is Sinclair broadcasting who owns several TV stations is rumored to be preparing a broadcast of John Fonda-Kerry and what he said about the troops when he returned. Sinclair is very pro-republican and apparently they will be forcing all their stations to air it 7-10 days before the election in prime time. I have no link for this have not looked on google but a friend of mine works for a rival station in town and he was discussing it about how they were told they may have to clear some time. (Channel 6 WSYX in Columbus is owned by Sinclair).
That testimony was about the leadership of this country and how they were letting the troops down. As long as they show the whole thing, the people will understand that.
