Reed is a better defensive playmaker than Holiday. Holiday's just steady defense/experience is probably more valuable defensively now.

Not to be a downer here, but how do we know Sheppard is even that great of a shooter? His college stats were over like 30 games on a limited number of shots. Lonzo Ball, for example, shot over 40% from 3-PT land in his only post-secondary season.

The typical concerns over Reed were his size, defense, and handles/PG ability. But everyone be like "he's almost like a Steph Curry level shooter! He shot over 50% from 3 at Kentucky!" Small sample size, bro.

I think his PG skills, vision, and passing are actually way better than I thought. His size is still a limitation, but I'm concerned this supposed generational shooting ability was overhyped based on one season, and he might only be a good to very good shooter which puts a hard cap on his ceiling.

He has literally perfect shot mechanics, yes, he is THAT great a shooter.

That's why even though he hasn't shot THAT well from 3 this season, opposing defenses are scared shitless by the thought of him being open no matter what else is going on. If he had more competent, less selfish teammates who would look to get him the ball and could make a decent pass so that he could catch and shoot the ball, things would look a bit different....either way, when other teams fear a thing, it's for a reason.

I'm not worried. His mid range shot has been great. I don't think he's adjusted to the longer NBA shot yet, he comes up short a lot. He's also been passive. I'm not too worried about his size. They should be scheming him open more, but he's getting open shots.

He picks up his dribble too much without a plan. His momma needs to get on him about that. Otherwise he has been really solid.

Exactly, both Castle and Rob Dill looking better than Reed so far.... Reed's just either a bust or a project at this point.

Castle was always the better prospect imo. Reed came into the NBA as the better shooter, based on his Kentucky performances.

Don’t know about that. Not really sure what exactly the work was, but y’all need to keep it up. Or else next game he’ll revert to an 0-fer, and y’all will hate him again. LOL

He can have a breakout game eventually, but he'd really benefit from reps in the G League. It's okay, all the other star potential rookies did as well. He'll get plenty of minutes, shots, and development time.

Reed looks like a nice prospect but maybe a reach at 3. I still think it was worth the gamble, but he's definitely not playing up to his draft position at this point.

Obviously still extremely early in his career, but starting to have buyer's remorse with this draft pick. He just looks so small compared to everyone else on the court. I'm sure his shooting will come around eventually, but I just don't think that's enough. There are so many good shooters around the league. Starting to notice more and more all the tall, lengthy, uber athletic players shooting +40% from 3 (Derrick Jones Jr, Larry Nance, etc.). Just looking at the league leaders this season in 3pt% and there's only one pg in the top 20. The days of the Steve Kerr type 3-point specialist are over

He definitely needs burn in the G-League. The time he is getting on the court doesn't seem to be benefitting him at all.

G-League him for everyone’s benefit. Make him the primary ball handler and jack up a mandatory 20 shots per game.

He looks like he needed another year in college tbh... Time to give his minutes to Holiday...

Excuses excuses, he is just bad. Too small for the NBA right now.

You missed on Scoot Henderson as well.

Reed's a smart and talented guy. He's going to live up to expectations we just won't see much of it this year.
