what he had difficulty accepting is suddenly being behind reed in the depth chart at least in GLeague he actually plays and not stuck on the bench
Cam, just give me two or three 3s and one dunk per game and at least try on defense. That's all I ask.
Whitmore didn't log a single minute in a massive blowout. He has a long, long way to go before breaking back into the rotation in any meaningful way.
Cam Whitmore has found himself in the dog house. Seems his tendency to ball hog / hero ball aren’t conducive to Rockets basketball.
Yeah, it's obviously not about tight minutes right now. He's done something (or not done something) to get himself in the dog house.
He knows what he has to do if he wants to work his way into the rotation and minutes. They don’t have time for a guy that doesn’t defend, doesn’t properly move off ball, doesn’t pass often or well - especially when he doesn’t hit his shots. He can be Flip Murray somewhere else or he can learn to play the right way - the way that they stressed to him last season and this Summer.
He is very clearly on Udoka's **** list. Rightfully so. His potential won't outweigh the reality of how he has been playing for a team that's ready to win right now though. He needs to grow up. His game needs to mature or he will end up as filler in a trade package. Having said that, I hope he figures it out because I still LOVE what he could become as a scorer in this league someday.
I believe he's in contention to be best in the draft. But my point was just that the pursuit of Wemby held back 4 players' development. Which it did, even if we got the 2nd best player to alleviate the damage.
In Udoka we trust. There is a dawg in there and Udoka will pull it out of him and get him right. Best freaking coach for young players...
The team is winning, there is no whining when we are winning. Cam has to show maturity, once he grows up a bit he will play. DD
