That shouldnt be a reason. you're putting the rockets successful at risk to get a another 2nd round pick lol makes no sense if true.
Ime must really value his defensively versatility. Cant see any other reason for him getting around 30 mpg.
Obviously they are starting him to keep his value to something so they can trade him. Something is better than nothing which is would happen when they bench him.
I'm hoping it 's that at 20 he is still just an immature kid (mentally) and overwhelmed by the "adultness'" of the NBA and older players. Anyone remember that first time you got invited to the big domino table with your dad and uncles? Fingers crossed...
The only reason he's still starting is that our second unit with Tari and Amen is extremely strong and he doesn’t want to disrupt what’s working. If you swapped Jabari and Amen we’d have a better starting 5 but our second unit would weaken so nothing would really change overall.
No. They keep starting Jabari hoping he can revert to at least last year's form and hopefully improve from there. It's about salvaging him as a player. His trade value has already tanked.
Really wonder what it takes to get Jaren Jackson Jr. He would suddenly makes up top 5 team in the west.
His body language is miserable. Clearly some stuff (a lot of stuff) in his mind. Rockets should get him someone to talk to.
Probably unrealistic unless Ja doesn’t come back for 1-2 months and the grizzlies fall back to the bottom of the west. I’d definitely trade Sengun for JJJ though. Would make our defense top of the league.
