Loser DNA is starting to flow through this team and I don’t like it. we have to grab games by the balls Can’t rely on lucky or fluky stuff anymore
I am still processing the "historic" loss on Sunday night. This game is a microcosm of the season. Second half collapses are common with this team. Why? There could be a multiplicity of reasons, but high on the list is COACHING. Halftime is 15 min. Good coaches make as many adjustments as possible. Others don't do as much. The "complementary football" jargon is growing thin. Make adjustments. Stop running the same failed play over and over. Get creative. Stop running scared when you have a lead. Pile on; full speed ahead. You don't think players are smart enough to know they are not being put in the best place to win? Low morale players will stop playing hard because they know all their efforts are going to be undercut by stupid decisions.
This coaching staff refuses to do the little things that could give them an edge. I remember after the butt whooping by the Vikings, their head coach O'Connell remarked how they spent time studying up on the officiating crew and their tendencies and it benefited them greatly that game. When DeMeco was asked if him and his staff do the same, he said something along the lines of "we just play the right way, we don't need all that" and he failed to acknowledge it played a big part in all the penalties that game. It's frustrating how stubborn he can be. The boy scout attitude is getting old.
BRO YOU'VE SPENT HALF YOUR TIME HERE BEING BUTTHURT AND WHINING ABOUT ANOTHER PACKER FAN PRETENDING!!! Good God the hypocrisy is insane, just go away.
You're vastly overrating what happens at the half. The coaches don't draw up new plays on the chalkboard that are magically going to change the outcome. It takes several minutes for the entire team to get in and then out of the locker room; players get treatment, go to the bathroom... Adjustments generally happen on the fly, throughout the game. I bolded what I think is a bigger issue: they've led at halftime in every single game, minus week 1 & week 3 (Vikings). But more to the point, skipping that Minnesota game, they've scored 12, 16, 17, 17, 14, 19, 17, 7 & 23 points in the first half of their games. *That's* a lot of points for 2 quarters of football! In fact, it's a 32-point pace. Football is not as simple as merely doubling the first half output, of course - but 142 first-half points is a 284-point pace - that's the same total points Detroit has scored. Again, the point is only to underscore that for two quarters, they are scoring *a lot* of points. So I don't think the explanation is that Bobby Slowick forgets how to coach at halftime... and then remembers again to start the next game! I think the issues are: 1) they play safe with a lead (they've led at the half every game, expect for week 1 and week 3) - and if that's the case, that may be a Ryans issue; 2) they're making too many mistakes; 3) they've played exactly one 3rd + 4th quarter with Mixon & Collins. There are other issues - and coaching might be bigger than I'm giving credit. I'm not sold on Slowick at all. But one thing I *do* know: NFL teams are committed to taking away what you do well. So without Mixon and/or Collins, the Texans are limited. They may have bought way too high on Schultz; Diggs wasn't dusted - but he certainly wasn't the WR1 he has been; Dell has either regressed or wasn't healthy. The rest of the offense is pretty limited. And they've had a giant hole of suck in their OL that teams can target as the game goes on (and make it harder for the Texans to scheme away from). TL;DR: there are a dozen+ reasons. I'm hoping a healthy Mixon and Collins solve more than a few of them.
The more leash and attention you give an imbecile the more he will think he's actually capable. Just point and laugh dont expect meaningful discourse.
He isn't 14. And I was not butthurt over the Lions taking over Lambeau Field. I also never called him a "piece of crap." It's fine, hopefully you are finally over the Lions game and stopped yelling at underage teens.
Im sorry, but how do you know the other Packer (super)fan isnt 14? And moreover, how do you know the guy in the video IS 14? Are you anexpert in guessing boy's ages? Did you mistake the jersey number for an age statement? Is is just because it makes your argument stronger? Also: Age withstanding, it appears it IS okay to be upset at someone pretending to be a fan... Finally: Good to see your moral high ground of not calling people a "piece of crap".. The. End.
I am still not buying the "coach-speak" argument that it is all execution. The play calling is so so predictable and uncreative. Throw in "untimely" and you have the second half droughts explained. Even when we had a full team with minimal injuries you could see the same problems.
First, go look what was written to me for me to respond that way(Go suck another limp c*ck) As I have said before, you must earn respect before someone gives you respect. Again, when I am an a$$hole here, it is in response to those that do not deserve respect. Again, go look at my first few comments on this forum and the response here to them. The person you speak of is not an actual "Packers fan" in any way shape or form. And he isn't underage. You can go speak to the owner of the Ravens site. He knows his age, and mental issues. As I said, I have ZERO problem with him coming here and trying to lick the backsides of Texans fans. But don't do it pretending to be a Packers fan. He does the same thing on multiple sites. End of discussion about him.
The projection here is rampant. If you don't know the meaning of projection you should look into it. There is help out there for those who need it. I will pray that some of you get the help you need.
I suspect you are talking about the only dude I have ever blocked on this site. You know, if everyone just blocked him he would not have an audience and he would evaporate. My trips to this board have returned to normal feelings of rage and disappointment, but not induced by that chode.
