He equated the two sides. They weren't equal. He wasn't speaking to statue removal in general. He was addressing that protest organized by white supremacists who were chanting antisemitic slogans, and carrying tiki torches. No very fine people saw that and continued to participate on the side of the white supremacists. To try and equate the people on both sides is unpresidential, and possibly worse. It excuses those that chose to join with the white nationalists. One of those white nationalists murdered a counter protestor. No counter protestors murdered the white nationalists.
If this is how the majority of Harris voters think, it’s no mystery why she lost. unchecked racism in here. I hope this isn’t how most dems feel. If it is, that’s why we lost. So many of you are completely lost

If tariffs are put in place on imports from Mexico, Chile, Canada other heavy exporters of produce it will mean the end of a lot of mom and pop restaurants. You can only pass so much cost on to the public before they grab a Cheeseburger from McDonalds except on special occasions. If lower income individuals know they can get a Mc double for 2.99 what is the incentive to go buy a bunch of broccoli Florette's that are the same cost, but you don't have to go to the store, trim it, and cook it. and fight with your kids to eat it. Preventing imports for food to mitigate harm from tariffs is fruitless because domestic agriculture is near 100% mechanized. Guess where the replacement parts are sourced for maintenance?

I mentioned that he condemned them. I said that in my initial post on the matter. I never denied that. However, providing that lip service doesn't erase his equating the two sides. They weren't equal and to call people who marched in support of the white nationalists who organized the rally, should be called out.
