I bet that's impacted by some of his early pull up CTE shots. He's usually either way overconfident or just forcing something when he takes those and it's pretty cringe.
I like it a lot! Please keep it moving to a different thread though. And leave the folks that want to discuss this topic. Thank you!
That is ****ING pathtetic.... Either Jalen Green and Jabari start making wide open shots or we ****ING trade them ASAP. DD
You got it Chief...I remember when Terrence Jones was too scared to shoot 3's as well. He would shoot one and if he missed, would clam up the rest of the game. If he made that first 3, then he would have the balls to shoot again. Sometimes stat stuffing is a negative on the team as well.
Uh-huh. Thanks! I think that we can at least agree that making open shots is a great thing for all involved!
You're welcome boss. Did you know Governor that Horry was traded for Sean Elliott; but the trade was nixed because Elliot failed the physical. Horry was noticably down so Rudy T went to talk to him. Horry asked, what do I need to do stick around? Rudy T said, "shoot 3's, and shoot them with confidence."..."If you miss, so be it' "What the worse we can do?" "Trade you" "Again" [ True Sorry......legend of Big Shot Rob ]
I blame Udoka, his trash offensive scheme is causing our players to miss point blank wide open shots. Udoka needs to get out there and hit those threes.
Jabari, 15%? Udoka, you better continue dialing down his playing time. If Tari and Amen keep improving, probably bottom him out at ~10-15 mpg.
Well I mean if we are getting wide open shots then the scheme is fine. The fact that we are top 12 in offense and top 7 in defense is already a major improvement. If our players shoot like they are capable of we are easily a top 10 offense. Jabari is singlehandedly dragging our offense down with his house of bricks.
Dillon Brooks stepback Threes for bricks is accepted by the Coaching Staff without being hard on him or even benching him. Effort or not, he is terrible in lateral quickness and frequently gets blown by and gives up easy layups. Dillon Brooks playing the PJ Tucker role playing Center looks like the real only option.
Change to the lineup must be considered Tari Eason and Amen Thompson over Jabari Smith and Dillon Brooks hopefully get consistency in playing defense and not giving up 38 point quarters. Dillon Brooks gets traded if he doesn't accept a bench role or gets traded for younger players or expiring.
How is Jabaris shooting in practice? I would assume that this is a mental problem right now. Also last year he seemed to be best off the dribble and in situations where he couldn't really think. He was supposed to be the best big man shooter since Durant - scouts were raving about his form. In his first season it also looked like it may be due to conditioning, but at some point it turns into a coaching or player management problem. I am not saying, this isn't on Jabari - I am saying, that I consider it to be the coaches job, to make sure the players are in the right mental state. And as far as shooting goes, it seems like every young player coming here gets worse.
This just sounds like excuses. Jalen green hasn’t shot worse neither has Tari and only Reed is inconsistent because he barely plays. NBA players are expected to hit wide open shots. If you are arguing that the coach isn’t setting them up to succeed offensively that’s fair. But the dude is literally bricking wide open jump shots. Has nothing to do with mental because he jacks em up continually without hesitation.
