You really cant compare +/- stat because Hedo plays in the East which is a LOT
    weaker that the West.
But i still like addition of Hedo but losing Hayes kind of hurts. If we could lure their 1st rounder i would be ready to do this.

i think this would be an OKAY trade but Ron Artest should be our primary focus. Getting this guy will give houston more of everything (assumign we keep Yao and Tmac). I don't care what you assume 27yr old Scola may be in the NBA. Ron Artest is proven.

Any deal that can land artest, besides tmac and yao, should nto be questioned. I think we should be in the "WIN NOW" mindset.

Really though, Hedo will add offense but we lose too much defense. A tough choice...but we need change so I'm fine either way.

I'm sorry but the diffrence betwenn east and west deos not account for such a difference in +/-. The Magic still have to play teams out West and while they benefit from playing some crap teams out east, we did too, by playing some of the werst, like the twolves, memphis, etc. How else am I to compare players across the league.

Anyways I have watched both of these teams play a huge amount of time and can say that Hedo diefinitely had a bigger impact on the game than Batteir did this year.

I can comfortably say that Hedo's offense outweighs the value of Battier's defense and would prefer it on our team over Battier's supposed intangibles. I just see Hedo bringing more to this team than Battier does. We have an offense problem not a defense problem and unlike some i do not see Battier as the sole reason our defense works.

But I do not think that this is on the table anywhere, as I think we want to keep Battier and are just hoping that we can get a decent third scorer via the magic of Bobby Jackson's bad contract, which I jsut don't have a whole lot of faith in.

I still think our best option to improve is to trade Battier. This and some of the Portalnd ideas have been the most logical for both sides. To me, Batteir's value is not that of a superstar or even a star for that matter. Too many people see him as an auntouchable when he should be very touchable at this point.

Nice trade. Bring in Hedo so he can play with his son Alpi. Just like LeBron and Bronny.
