I would def consider it (Terrel Edmunds cut by Steelers) https://www.profootballrumors.com/2024/11/steelers-cut-s-terrell-edmunds
Simmering down but still pissed about choking the Lions game. We should win our next 4 games. The Cowboys, Tit$, Jags and Dolphins are inferior teams with some serious injury problems. This is the stretch of game where we fine tune our problems. Fix our run game and pass pro to reflect the new changes. Insert new plays, try different schemes and get healthy. Going anything but 4-0 against those four teams would be inexcusable.
Im thinking 11-5, but it will still be a great season considering all the turmoil. Objective should be to play your best football in December. Many of our own fans were expecting a curb stomping and we proved that we belong on the field with any team in the NFL. Let us get healthy and little continuity before the playoffs and I like our chances as much as any team.
For the rest of the reason, we're never going to feel comfortable with a huge lead going into the 2nd half. No lead is safe with this offensive incompetence. This is going to be the Texans vs Chiefs 2019 division game on repeat.
The biggest difference between Ryans and Slowick is that his defense can still excell with major pieces missing. The defense is not perfect, but they identify and elevate the talent there. Ryans has protoype players in mind, but he can work with the available talent. The offense has underperformed all year long. I don't think Slowick, or Caserio has a good feel for obtaining the optimal players for a system, or adjusting when injuries and failures emerge. Slowick is inexperienced and the panic he shows in games reflects this. His caution is infecting the team. That said, it is on Demeco to step up and insist on the same accountability on the other side of the ball that he demands from his defense.
I have been shouting that we should sign S. FL. native Kevin Austin Jr. off of the Saints' PS. (heck... I wanted him as an UDFA out of Notre Dame back in 2022) He got elevated for Saints game against the Falcons this past weekend. 2 catches (22 & 16) for 38 yards... checks notes.... 2 TD's Freak athlete gonna freak I know... all he does is catch TDs.. amirite?!?
This season, the Texans have been outscored 141 to 82 in the second half. Their highest second-half scoring came against the Patriots, with 27 points (three touchdowns and a couple of field goals). Using Houston Texans | The Football Database for all the scores
So what's the word on Lassiter, is he gonna be out for multiple games, or magically be ready a little slower than Josh Allen and devonte adams
