Sure Bobby. So you’re pretty much saying our offense is beating themselves then which is an indictment on you and your **** scheme.

Fire this clown. Demote him, do anything. Bills saved their season last year when they got rid of Ken Dorsey on November 14, 2023. They were 5-5, we are only 1 game better than them. Get rid of Slowik, however I doubt it because this team doesn't ever have the balls to do something drastic.

For someone who comes from PFF, this ****ing guy sure as hell doesn't understand a damn thing about analytics, and when to call certain plays. And if the blame for the constant long yardage to gain on 2nd and 3rd downs is going to be put on the O Line, then isn't it the OC's job to cover up deficiencies through creative play calling that will keep defenses on their toes?? Literally everything comes back to Slowik's incompetency, and his inability to exploit the other team's weaknesses. Opposing DC's must love playing against us right now.

    If I was in charge...
    1) Have the Gale Botticker talk with Jerrod Johnson ("can you cook Walter White's formula?"), if he's up for the task, I fire Bobby and give him the reigns to the offense, or
    2) If Johnson can't/won't step up, I try whatever it takes to bring in Kubiak as an assistant head coach, or hell even a consultant to help with practice during the week, or
    3) Fire Slowik and bring in Frank Reich as OC...the guy is probably bleeding to work with CJ.

I was thinking about this when I saw Bobby was from PFF (how did I miss this???).... he is good at knowing other people's tendencies and tracking that data and probably explaining it in a meeting. It's another thing to know how to use it.

He probably builds an excellent game plan pregame and it works for the 1st half. But when the other team's coach makes actual adjustments, he doesn't seem to know what to do.

Also, you can LITERALLY see "paralysis by analysis" on his face sometimes. Like a DNS attack on a human being's brain.

Edit: I hate the we were his first OC job. He will probably be MUCH better in the future, but RN = he ain't it

Give Gary Kubiak whatever he wants. He can work a hybrid 40 hour a week schedule and work 3 days a week from home and zoom in if necessary.

Bobby is doing a great job of taking all the flak while CJ stays insulated. I respect that because he could easily say most of the offensive players have been spread open asscheeks for the majority of the year and he wouldnt be wrong. He did as much with the "we arent seeing anything different" jab. Guys are not recognizing fronts, getting beaten 1v1 and CJ is not seeing the entire field.

Plays are there to be made. Bobby cant hold CJs hand all game long with "easy" stuff. Kid needs to get off platform, but he's so limited athletically that if the progression is muddied its a dead play because our current wideouts cant separate consistently.

When Nico is back Slowik will be a savant again. Wild how that works.

For the record I do think the team could do better than Slowik, but not halfway through a season.

Even with Nico this season, Slowik was never a savant

One mans trash is another mans treasure. You dont fire the OC 10 games in and expect that to help your team when people are just ignoring the elephant in the room.

Offense was lackluster and disappointing even with Nico.

Nico was 30% of the offense. He was the security blanket on broken plays and the only guy who can take the top off the defense. Spread alignments have been devised to stop the Shanny offense and it has been working so far. Now the OCs get in the lab and find the kinks. Hard to do that when you cant include your best weapons in the game plan.

Some guys are arguing as if this team is 4-6 ... we are smack dab right in the middle of the NFL in terms of offensive output. Exactly where I would put them when missing the chunk plays they so heavily rely on.
