I am also confused why Democrats are suprised Kamala lost. In the 2020 primary Kamala didnt even make it to the first state and dropped out before Iowa. Democrats overwhelmingly rejected her in the polls. Why would Democrats then be suprised independents and republicans would reject her as well? Dem voters should be more pissed at their party leaders for having her represent them when they already rejected her.
This chick has more common sense than ALL the D&D leftists combined. I really mean it. It's not that complicated.
@JangleJ33 is your alt account. You want to keep denying it and wait for @Clutch to confirm it? Or come clean now?
Well to be fair boys playing in girls sports is not complicated And Jews being attacked by islamists is not complicated And people overwhelming seeing Deadpool and Wolverine over the Marvels is not complicated @Salvy
Of course you are confused about Democrats.... you are a MAGA Trump supporter. No offense but you live in a different reality, and that's just the way that it is. If you want to start approaching relationships with fellow Americans who aren't consuming the propaganda you consume, or are around your social circles that reinforce your beliefs, I'd recommend using constructive listening skills and approaching with empathy. There is an explanation for what happened on the Democratic side which ended up with Kamala being the nominee, and ended up where Democrats thought that voting for Kamala over Trump was the easiest decision they ever made. Do you have any sort of constructive curiosity as to what happened or are you just coming here to TELL US why we are all stupid libs??
I think it sucks that you didn't vote. I'm not sure whether you live here in Texas or elsewhere, but I believe it's important to vote for candidates and issues on the ballot. Maybe the federal election was of no concern for you (and you could be in a deep red/blue state, so I can understand the lack of motivation there), however, I'm sure state and local there are some elections that your vote could have made a difference. I know you've admitted elsewhere that you didn't look over other issues on the ballot, but encourage to do so in the future. Candidates can be tied to a number of things, so even if you aren't a "partisan hack", I think if you have certain issues you personally care about, even if the candidate is an idiot, I don't see why you wouldn't vote based on those issues. For example, president's ability to assign SCOTUS, that's a pretty big deal and although not officially in the ballot, it was on the ballot (granted Alito nor Thomas have retired yet, but they will likely be convinced to retire now, at least one of them I bet). I voted for Kamala because my hope was that the courts would not shift further right. I supported Kamala because between her and Trump, she was the lesser of two evils, but I never liked how Democrats forced her on us but accepted it based on an explanation by @B-Bob I agreed with. At the same time, Joe did drop out super late, so this fantasy of short primaries was silly and I think we were left with no other option. Anyways, TLDR, your vote matters and I hope you will vote in future elections.
I also think that it was backlash against political correctness......people don't like to be told what they can or can't say or do. We don't need SPECIAL laws for groups of people just enforce the laws there are on the books already. When you create special laws, you end up pissing off other people who think "What about me" ..... All men and women are created equal should be enough. DD
Man I have been beating this drum a while. 100% agreed. Plain and simple most Americans know what they are, and most in this country will give the middle finger to anyone who tells them otherwise. Regardless of if they are correct or not. that's why I chuckle when I read this board at times. If anyone on here thinks they are swaying anyone's vote or thought process on this forum, they are out of touch. It's basically a bunch or opinionated folks on both sides of the aisle yelling on the interweb at some stranger that does not press the like button on said posts.
Will give you an example "Black Lives Matter" is a controversial movement - it's message and what it stands for is, not, that is good, but when you label yourself as "Black Lives Matter" instead of the meaning - Black lives matter, too - you lose a lot of white voters who are poor or struggling...... If the movement was "Poor Lives Matter" it would resonate with all groups, creating a group that divides in it's message is not going to work well in the end.....while the meaning is noble, the wording and labeling is not. Words matter - in a society in which people get their news clips on Tik Tok and Twitter - if you mislabel something it is going to get flipped on it's head because the words used don't say what the meaning is.....people are too busy, lazy, or ignorant to dive deeply into the real meaning.... Unfortunately, we are a labeling society - a skin deep look at things - and will be until social media and the rest of the media is reigned in to tell the truth...etc. DD
100% of the people who thought "black lives matter" meant "black lives matter only" did it out of bad faith trolling. That is one thing you have to understand Dakota. You can't think like this when the people who will attack any form of left activism will do bad faith talking points. That's why you never back down against insincere talking points. You ignore them.
