Invest in whoever makes Imodium AD as cases of full blown watery diarrhea increase due to the FDA being defunded or dismantled.
What in that video are you against. Do you like having your 1st Amendment rights infringed upon? Do you like being censored? Do you like govt deep state employess being able to sell their positions off so they can get well paying jobs once the leave the govt? How about somebody like Pelosi getting righ off of the stock market because she knows what mergers are going to happen beforehand? etc...
Not going into all of this, I just want to say I hope things go back to the way they were before Biden/Harris took over. Low cost of living, no new wars etc... BTW, I do hope that what you said about the education system happens. The education system needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, from kindergarten through 8 years of college revamped and it should start with vouchers so kids can go to the schools of their choice. Lets get back to the 3 R's type of education system and less of the drag queen story time type of education.
Censorship: obviously not, but hate speech shouldn’t be protected. I have zero problem with a person leveraging their experience and connections at one organization to move on to another. It’s called a career. ‘Deep State’ is a fun label for political appointees or people who push their own politics in government positions. It’s not limited to one party and it’s not going away, ever. Don’t be naive. I don’t think any elected official should participate in insider trading. Of course, like ‘Deep State’, this isn’t party specific. It’s best to always assume that all politicians are crooked and representing themselves and their donors, not their constituents. There are some good ones here and there but most are crooks.
The Trump campaign and his defenders were always saying that the Trump campaign had nothing to do with Project 2025. He appoints one of the architects of Project 2025 to be Border Czar.
Random question. I presume eliminating the Dept of Education would require a senate bill to get past a filibuster. So, if that presented a hurdle, can the same means be achieved by not allocating $ to the Dept in a budget?
In theory yes but Republicans are looking at the same tiny majority in the House that they have currently so that requires some ability to create uniform consensus around Republicans to pass a spending bill during reconciliation. Even getting something like that through the Senate is almost impossible. The Department of Education really only exists to facilitate grants and other programs that provide significant supplemental funding to state and local governments. Killing the DoE amounts to a massive cut in education funding for the entire country (along with effectively abolishing all federal student loans since those are also administered through the DoE). Doing this creates a really easy campaign pitch for Democrats as they'll just run on Republicans destroying schools across the country. The more likely outcome is what you got in the first Trump term which is just an incredibly incompetent DoE administration with an extra layer of kleptocracy. Far from cutting spending, the goal will probably some sort of grifting where the DoE diverts money to right wing groups that purport to serve in education. They'd probably try and find a way to divert funding to voucher programs although I'm not sure there's any statutory language they can lean on to support that one.
JD Vance is the more intellectual dude of those 2, unscrupulous, extreme and young enough to take over for the Donald.
