Ryans has had a top defense with like many key players out week to week. We've had two back up LBs and still played pretty well and the defense had 5 TOs today lol. This should have been a blowout.

So yeah, something on offense needs to change. Meco said something about playcalling he needs to tell Slowik to first, grow a pair. Stop playing for FGs the moment your team crosses the 40 and two, actually ADJUST during the game.

If the run up the middle isn't working for 3 quarters it likely is not going to work in the 4th. Try something different, try a misdirect run like Detroit did, try screen plays, try something else...stop banging your head on the wall with the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Cj completes that lolipop pass and Fairbarin makes a FG that's 10points in the 2nd half and this board is having a completely different vibe about taking down the mighty Lions. Instead we get to gripe about Slowik for another week.

Also on the brightside, the OL should get better as they play together more. Patterson at center made a big difference tonight. just gotta stay healthy and get Nico back.

4 penalties on each team. That crew was letting them play. Did you not see Goff take a helmet to helmet hit that wasn't called? Bad calls even out. That crew wasn't flag happy, which is a good thing.

You know who complains about the officials after every loss their team has? Casual fans. Diehards know that stuff evens out during a game. And they know their team had many chances to win the game and didn't capitalize.

Blaming officials is for a loss, almost as lame as claiming the Texans have more injuries than every team they play.

Had a LB on him in coverage.... Make it make sense! I wonder if losing Lassiter was the bigger problem in the 2nd half....

The No call at 3rd down late in 4th before the Ka'imi Fairbairn and the Place Kicker botched the kick at the 54 yard line.

CJ Stroud should've tried 4th Down and 4 yards, why not, 54 yards out is way too far.

4 yards vs 54 yard field goal kick

CJ Stroud/Joe Mixon/Tank Dell 4th Down and 4 yards vs Kaimi 54 yard field goal. Is the Coaching Staff that incompetent.

There's no way they don't call that PI on 3rd&4. This is WWE, entertainment only

They currently have a negative point differential and suck on the road.

This team is a carbon copy of the Eagles last year. Really good record to start out the year but just squeaking out wins against teams they should handle easily. Questionable OC/play calling. Talented QB but erratic play.

They’ll win the division and likely win the home playoff game but this team isn’t going on the road and winning in the playoffs.

Y’all are acting like it was some ridiculous no call. Yes it was PI but it wasn’t egregious.

I had to turn the sound off for the last quarter of the game so saw but didn’t hear the final FG.

    Damn tough loss..

I’ve always liked the Lions even when they were laughing stocks of the league. I am happy for their success but really thought the Texans could pull this one out.

That's a flag if there's no sports gambling. I'll not be convinced of that otherwise. The missed calls happen in key parts of games way too often in this league. With that said, it's not the primary reason we lost. So don't think I'm solely blaming the refs for the L.

I welcome that if they can stay healthy.
I don't think people want to understand how big losing your two receivers is for this offense. Look at the Rams with and without Puka. Texans 2011 offense with and without Dre.

I think he was just frustrated by the run blocking.

So you think the refs are betting on games or what?

Missed calls happen constantly throughout the games but you just remember the ones at the end of them. And as I said, as far as missed calls go, this one isn’t even that bad.

The Texans are still a work in progress. The Lions turnaround didn’t happen in one season and that first Cambell year they were losing close games and blowing leads.

It still might take another season or two for the Texans to be a top team.

No, I don't refs are on the take. But, do you think you can sit here and tell me that PI call is not called if Mahomes and Chiefs on offense there?

    I agree with this take…

I have no issues with the officials tonight. We got away with some calls, and they got away with some calls…

It seems like the officials don’t make the game bout themselves….

Detroit is a good team and I thought we were going to get our teeth kicked in. But we should have had this game.

I am not sure who I am unhappy with today, but it’s not the Defense. They gave this offense many opportunities…. It’s not the O-line either, I thought they played much better than they have previous games. Jared Patterson at Center and Juice at LG is what they needed to do all season….

CJ threw 2-picks that hurt. One was played we by the DB jumping the route, other was a bad placed ball. WRs kept dropping passes. Bobby Slowik not calling well designed run plays….
