lol sure thing Slowik. What prevented you from making "adjustments" all those other weeks, considering it's not the first time that your offense has been completely shut down?
They've been saying it has been addressed and fixable every week. Even in the wins, the same issues have been present. I'm not expecting anything different until they show it.
I think I'm truly over Slowik. I just dgaf about the dude and this game has cemented that belief. Yeah, he's missing Nico and Diggs but good coordinators should know what he has and scheme plays to give the players he has the best opportunities to win. He was gifted 5 TOs against the Lions, and the previous games against GB... 4 TOs and he couldn't do sht. No adjustments, predictable, and scared. I honestly would've felt better if we had gotten blown out this game.
Fairbairn kicking a record number of 50 yarders getting special teams awards, is not a good Fairbairn stat. Its a bad offensive coordinator stat. It means he's counted on way too much to bail out Slowick's stuck offense. How many of those long kicks are from defense creating a short field for offense, after offensive drives still go nowhere? Just enough to be "lucky its in long field goal range". Need deeper drives & actual TD's. Possibly from another coordinator
A good coach finds out a players strength and milks it. You see this with Demeco actually. Yall remember Pitre before Demeco? Dude was getting torched week in and week out. Pitre under Demeco is a beast, he's a specialist for sure, you still don't want him out back and covering, but Demeco treats him like an extra LB, he understands what he does will and continues to put him in that position to do it well. Belichick obviously was great at this same thing, finding what a player does really well, and then milking it. We know Slowik has issues with this, he had Diggs, Nico, and Tank, and could not scheme these guys open.
I am not a fan of firing coaches mid-season but this has to be done, you cannot have 5 TO`s gifted to you and then play not to lose..................the second half NON adjustments are becoming a thing and were simply getting outcoached...............................Demeco, I know you love your boy, but he has to go. We will win the division, win maybe one playoff game and then booted.............were still a year away from being the Lions and they have an OC who is at the top of his game, don't play with one hand tied behind your back with this coach
Slowik has found a way to take a proven system and turn it into a gimmicky easy to spot relic. It was no surprise the offense looked great when they adhered to the tenets of the WCO. Bobby has to get cute every other series with bonehead DOA plays that wreck momentum.
It is worse than that. They should have kept going back to last season, including the playoffs. There’s something fundamentally broken when they’re this ineffective on offense in the second half of games.
