I know the alma mater (word for word) for a fictional high school from a 1980s movie, but not from the school I actually attended. It's not like I've watched this movie dozens of times, either. Maybe two or three. Very weird.

What are random things stuck in your head?

    Katy Freeway
    Peek Road Exit
    Houston

Can't get it out of my head ... and for some reason, years later, it's telling me it's back to stay in my noggin, and I haven't lived in Houston nor seen the commercials in over 25 years...

There was this food song on like chanel 26 or 39 in the afternoons in the early 80s when theyd show afterschool cartoons with this goofy song that went:

    "Yes yes yes yes
    No no no
    Yes yes yes
    No no no
    Yes yes yes yes
    No no no
    Yes yes
    No no
    Yes yes"

For every "YES" they'd show a picture of healthy food, every "NO" showing something unhealthy - really bad cut-and-paste graphics on a green background.

This song is burned in my brain. Ive looked for it online several times over the decades and can't find it.

For all i know im the only living human being on the planet that remembers it.

Like the McDonalds "Two all beef partties special sauce lettuice cheese pickles onions on a sesamee seed bun!" song that im sure most people my age remember.

Also the song from the Enjoli perfume commercial -

I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan, and never ever let you forget you're a man!"

Pretty sure that perfume hasn't existed for decades, but I know the jingle by heart.

Honestly you have no idea how happy I feel just for some confirmation that it actually existed.

In all seriousness, the election is a bit stuck in my head. My candidate didn't win and that has me a bit troubled. Work is also stuck in my head here and there because work is challenging these days. Either, I'm going to get another role at my current job which would be great, or I'm gonna bounce. So a few things rolling around in the noggin.

Will the Texans win tonight? Is another.

My Dad's favorite Christmas album when I was growing up was a Johnny Mathis album. He played the heck out of it at Christmas every year. I play that album in my mind throughout the year to this day.

This commercial is engrained in my mind.

I remember this was always on as i would leave to catch the school bus every ****ing day for years.
Sometimes i have to really fight the urge to sing "hold on for one more day" straight into "i just died in your arms tonight."

    I hate it.

I didn't watch. Is it the one with "...think of Laura..."?

I've never heard that song beyond that one line in one of these commercials. No idea who the band was.
