He is 21 YEARS OLD. What were you doing when you were 21? Competing at the highest level of a sport? Being the 5th best rebounder for your position at 21 YEARS OLD? Playing pretty damn good defense and shooting average from 3, despite having no offense plays designed for you? You don’t know anything about basketball.

The fact that you can only claim his age as his biggest asset is telling. You're arguing with yourself at this point. According to you, as Bari ages, he's going to magically get more athletic, a better first step and be a more consistent shooter. Just because he has more birthdays.

He got better from his first year to his second. He will get better from his second to his 3rd. Your hero didn’t start to improve for 2 1/2 years. It’s not magic, it’s just how it works. SGA wasn’t sh*t until he was 25. Lots of basketball fans only look at offense to decide worth. Even with that, Jabari has improved offensively his first two years. Experience makes a difference in all walks of life including basketball.

    "SGA wasn't **** until he was 25"

This might be the most ludicrous statement I've read on this board and this says a lot. He averaged 19/6/3 at 22. 24/5/6 at 23. By "wasn't **** until he was 25", you mean he wasn't an MVP candidate until he was 25?

I see it more relaxed, I think some in the fanbase feel he has to become someone to justify his high lotto spot.

I do not think that way. He would be lucky if he can stay being a starter.

I am still standing by the comment that his dad has not educated him well enough on how to be a big man.

    Jabari 13pt 7.2 rebounds 1 blk age 19
    14 pt 8 rebounds 1 blk 1 stl age 20

Jabari plays PF and has a different role than SGA. The point is that you are being impatient and proclaiming a guy with 2 years experience as the 5th option on his team as a bust. That is way more ludicrous.

Jabari is one of the most inconsistent players on the team. The exact opposite of a “neutral player” lmao.

I wouldn't even give him the MLE at this point.

Can't do nothing right. I can't believe there's real life humans that defend this dude.

A neutral player can be inconsistent. In fact, a player who will be worth max or near it could have been inconsistent when they were 22 at the start of their 3rd season.

None of this means Jabari won’t develop into exactly what we need from him by the time we have to make an RFA decision.

I get it. You’re disappointed with the development. I’ve been saying forever, everyone’s development was stunted under Silas. We’re catching up. You’ll do yourself a lot of favors if you just postpone everyone’s deliverables by a year in your mind. That’s roughly what we lost. If his development was handled well, the players we received on day 1 would have required 2 full years of development to become a net positive starter for a playoff team. However, it wasn’t handled well.

He’s going to deliver this season but just give him some time. Putting on muscle can affect your shot, sometimes it takes 10-20 games to adjust. His rebounding has been great. His defense is better. Just need his 3 to start falling. That will open up close out opportunities. The team is going to get way better at finding him off kick outs. You won’t be disappointed.

It’s Stephen Silas’ fault that he can’t shoot 30% from 3? Or finish layups?

Man…the excuses some will go to. I’m not asking him to be Wemby. Just look competent, which he does not for an NBA starter.

How did you get this from what I said? I never said the Rockets messed up, but to answer your question, I wanted Chet but obviously he was never going to make it to us.

So yes I would have taken Jabari as well. I expected him to be a sniper and play great defense from day one pretty much. He was supposed to be the more "polished" prospect and ready for the NBA and we haven't seen that from him. It's unfortunate but it's pretty clear he is likely never going to be a star, which is what you are hoping when you are drafting third overall.

He's a step too slow, too weak, his shot is too flat. He's been dissapointing to say the least

    I'm sorry but.

    Keep Dillon.

Give Tari/Amen all of Bari's minutes.

    Trade Bari.

Bari will probably be traded. I don't think he is a part of the team's future. Tari and Amen are way ahead of him and effect winning more than Bari ever has.
