I believe this is attributed specifically to the Rockets' increased focus in offensive rebounding, which was mentioned by Craig Ackerman during one of the games. Every player has the green light to go after offensive rebounds. Additionally, the Rockets always had good offensive rebounders. Tari Eason and Amen Thompson have always been the top percentile in offensive rebounding, but now you also add in Steven Adams (who has always been an incredible offensive rebounder, and is still the best offensive rebounder on this team based on OREB%). Furthermore, Sengun's draft profile has always praised him as a prolific rebounder, especially offensively. His OREB% was 8.6% last season, currently at 10.4%. Not significantly higher, but honestly a lot of it could be him picking up his own missed shots since he was missing a lot of close ranged shots to start most of the season. There are probably other factors at play here, but on paper this team has a lot of gifted rebounders, especially on the offensive end.
I completely understood what you meant by sour. the disconnect here is that you refuse to recognize that Im talking about what he is and youre talking about an imagined version of Jalen you have in your head. maybe in the future he will be that. he's not now. you're confusing me saying what he is now with me being on the outs with Jalen. Im not soured to him Im just saying what he is NOW. your reply actually proves my point. you guys see the truth as hate when it doesn't align with your biased view of a player. I encountered the same thing with KPJ fans. If you listened to them he was misunderstood and never did anything wrong and he was basically harden lol you guys are doing the same with jalen to a lesser degree.
Are you sure you're not confusing me with someone else? I've definitely never called nor implied that you were hating, I only said that I hope Jalen proves that your initial optimism was correct. I'm literally the Twitter Magic Johnson of Clutchfans--the most inoffensive, milquetoast, boring takes on the forum Regardless, as long as the Rockets keep winning, we'll all be happy!
Yeah I've noticed that with Brooks as well, but haven't really extended that observation to what the opposition is trying to do in response. I'll try to keep an eye out for that. I'm recalling specific instances defending PnR where Sengun's been able to chase down ball handlers for good contests/blocks. Not sure how often that happens in game, i'm not quite at that sicko level where I take notes while watching. But to your point, yeah he's not suddenly a great NBA level athlete, but rather more disciplined with better positioning and timing. I was just pointing out that he was never really "unathletic". He's always had decent vertical pop, and now he's able to use it more effectively.
Baffling how you can say a player has someone by the balls when you are saying absolute batshit crazy stuff about another one. How oblivious can you be?
"batshit crazy" but has nothing to back it up. go away. your posts are irrelevant and hollow. you sound like a secondary account lol I honestly really feel sorry for Cam. he came to the wrong place most Houston fans cant like more than one guy at a time and they build that guy up to be a god no matter how good he is or isnt. Thats why youre calling what I said crazy because to you it is lol
Wait... You said Cam right now is ahead of where Jalen was at the same point in time. How? Cam has no skill besides shooting every time he touches the ball. Literal insanity given that you have nothing to back your stuff up, but yeah, everyone is at fault except you. We are sorry.
