This election seems fair because there is no Covid and my side has learned a lesson from 2020 and we’re ready for all of the shenanigans this time. I did question the 2020 election. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that the adult diapers wearer, hair sniffler, ice cream cone licker with dementia just sat in his basement and got 81 million votes? You just saw how hard Trump had to work in this election? So you’re telling me we have less voters, less people in 2024 than in 2020? Look how many votes Kamallah has in this election 68 millions + Something ain’t jiving with that 2020 election and that’s why lots of people ain’t buying it. BTW- I love that book “Tuesday with Morrie”. Bought it when it first came out years ago.

I think it can be explained by people feeling generally uneasy with the direction their life is heading both in 2020 and 2024, and so they vote against the incumbent. Also, voters can have short memories. The dissatisfaction with the current administration is fresher in the mind than the circus-show that was the prior administration.

Path back to national relevance is closed, though. Donald Trump: won 2024 presidential election Hillary Clinton: too old, cast aside after losing to Trump. No possibility for a Senate comeback. Mitt Romney: won a Senate campaign in a new state John McCain: went right back to the Senate. John Kerry: became Secretary of State Al Gore: no political future due to Tennessee's rightward shift Bob Dole: back to the Senate George H.W. Bush: lived a chill post-presidential life
I imagine she'll run for governor of CA. Other than that, a highly paid speaker/political commentator/lobbyist. I wouldn't be surprised if she attempted to run again in 2028, but it wouldn't last much longer than her attempt in 2020.

She didn't run a perfect campaign, but for someone called up off the bench late in the fourth quarter, she did fabulous. Some stumbles, but her performance overall was near rock star level. A quick scroll of these pages will tell you all you need to know about those that voted against her and why she lost. I don't think I need to say any more. You either get it or you don't. Wherever she goes from here, she had an amazing career and an amazing run. Vice president, senator... DA.. and near president.
after losing to JFK in 1960, Nixon ran for Cali Governor in '62, and lost to Pat Brown, before winning the presidency in '68. it can be done. I'm not convinced Kamala has Nixon's political talent however. a better analog might be Dukakis, who left politics altogether
