Yeah we are giving them at least 3 of our prospects there is no other way around it. It's probably Sengun + Amen + Jabari/Reed

Next Offseason. This is the max offer Houston should be willing to go with

    Sengun
    Jabari
    Whitmore
    '25 1RP (HOU)
'27 1RP (Best of PHX/HOU) - can't trade both because of Steipen rule
    '29 1RP
    '31 1RP

    for

    Giannis

Sign Brook Lopez in Free Agency

    2026 Rotation:
FVV (decline PO, resign for significant discount with some term)
    Jalen
    Amen/Tari
    Giannis
    Lopez

    Amen/Tari
    Brooks
    Sheppard

Still have 2027, 2028 and 2030 1RPs. Both teams say yes to the above offer. Your closing lineup is probably Jalen/Tari/Amen/Giannis and 1 of FVV/Lopez depending on the matchup

The Bucks may no longer be a contender the way their season has started. Dame in his absolute prime would have been a decent 2nd best player, but he does not seem to be a fit. I also do not think Rockets would need to trade both Sengun and Green in a deal, I think it would just be Sengun and some picks since Giannis would maybe take up minutes at the 5 anyway. The remaining roster would still keep in tact a lot of young talent. Maybe I am biased, but I think the remaining support would be much better than what the Bucks have.

They would need it because the West is tons tougher than the East.

Him going West would still be a tough decision for his legacy of winning multiple chips.

I still do not see a trade unless Giannis demanded to be traded......

I would go for a lower cost star. Kyrie is a FA, replacing Fred w Kyrie would do wonders.

    • With Giannis in, Sengun and Amen would not fit.
    • A package of Sengun, Amen, Brooks, Holiday works salary-wise. We’d start FVV, Green, Tari, Bari, Giannis with Reed, Cam, Adams off the bench.
    • Then, next year we could trade for Lauri using Bari and Reed as key trade assets and a re-signed Adams as salary filler. A FVV, Green, Tari, Lauri, Giannis line-up would definitely be able to contend in 2026 and 2027.

Amen isn’t going anywhere. Can’t believe people are still proposing it.

Can’t see how Amen and Giannis could co-exist. Of course, it is fair to ask whether it is worth sacrificing Amen for Giannis.

I'm good with trading for Giannis in a win now move.

I'd play him his 43% at Center that he is getting currently in Milwaukee.

His defense would shine better as he goes from older players around him to younger.

    Rockets could/should win all phases of most games [Offense/Defense/Transition ( Off/Def) ]

even tho Giannis is significantly better than anything we’ve got on the roster and would make us a very good and formidable team, I truly can not stand watching him play…he is unwatchable to me

Giannis to me is basically like

I don’t think I could ever like Giannis…best you’ll probably ever get outta me is to tolerate

You trade a bunch of draft capital and young studs for Gianni's and you are starting a rebuild all over again in 4 years.

He'll be 31 years old when we got him. Giving up our entire draft capital and at least 3 of your youngsters for a guy who will be out of his prime in a few years is a dumb move. He's not 27 years old, he relies on his athleticism more than 98% of the league and can't shoot whatsoever. Once his athleticism is gone he'll be gone too and we will have to start another rebuild.
