Looks like they are looking like the 2022 Warriors… Splash Buddies looking really good. I’m fu***** pissed.
I wonder if they'll roll with what they have, or look to trade Kuminga and maybe one or two first-round picks for a good player. No idea who that would be (Jimmy Butler isn't worth it at this point in his career, Giannis is likely a pipe dream) but I'd think someone in the Bridges or Anunoby tier of players. Either way, they look really damn good. 2022 all over again. Buddy Hield has found his final form as a sixth man scorer in a great movement offense.
Does Kerr deserve more credit for their system than we allow ourselves to give him? And or are their young players just developed better and they draft really well?
Bob Myers is one guy but he is gone, then enter Dunleavy junior. The Contant is named Steve Kerr here and Steph Curry.
Well to be fair they are being carried by their vets like Curry, Wiggins, Dray and Hield more than Moses Moody and Kuminga.Their GM is pretty good at spotting undervalued guys like GP2, Hield and Wiggins. Looking back I dont even think Kerr system is good at development lol the guys they have that blossomed are players with a lot of experience already like Wiggins or guys that just have high bball IQ and pick up things quickly like Podz. Their high potential guys like Wiseman and Kuminga havent really learned a lot of skills.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Giannis tries to go to the Warriors with the current **** show in Milwaukee right now. Giannis isn’t a fan of Lillard, it seems. Curry/Giannis/Dray/Buddy/Wiggins lineup would be deadly.
It seems that when players join the Rockets, they suddenly forget how to shoot, and when players join the Warriors, they suddenly remember how to shoot.
The 24/25 season is still early, but they do look really good. I understand they got a great offensive system, but they're 2nd in defensive rating (OKC is first, and HOU is 4th). How are they so strong on defense?
I feel like they just find smart basketball players. When was the last time GS had someone that had low BBIQ. They have a system, and they find guys who can play within that system both offensively and defensively. It's a proven track record of success. They also never let go of players while getting nothing in return. Instead of letting KD go, they got a sign-and-trade. Same with Klay Thompson. Their ownership spends. Even when they lose guys to free agency, he's willing to pay money to get something in return.
Kelly Oubre Jr, I guess. Though they also signed JaVale McGee who was viewed as low BBIQ and he was really successful in their offense and defense, though in a more limited role. But yeah, they do love their smart players. Just this offseason, they grabbed heady vets like Slo-Mo and Melton.
Golden State can't out-bid teams like us or OKC, but it also depends on who actually bids. OKC may want to stick with their young talent and we might also, since Giannis wouldn't make us a title contender and wouldn't align age-wise with whatever young talent we kept. Giannis doesn't seem like the type who would **** over Milwaukee by demanding a trade to just one team, but I guess you never know.
They never drop off. They have a 12 man rotation and all 12 are competent overall while most are plus perimeter defenders. Because they're so deep, nobody has to worry about saving energy and they just swarm you like lunatics constantly.
