Twitter (gonna call is that until X actually becomes this supposed "everything app") can be useful if you put a lot of time into curating your experience. If you don't, it's a public toilet that deranges everyone who gazes into it. It's like someone made the YouTube comments section the entire site. Hell, even the experienced users fall victim to the engagement farming vortex. I do not use it and I do not feel like I am missing anything. Everyone I know who does use it I feel is worse off as a person for it. No thanks.
I’ll admit most of my exposure to Twitter is actually from here. So much of it whether it’s sports or politics appears angry, fearful or both. I’ve got enough stress in my life dealing with job, family and other things more direct to my life. Why would I want to add further to that by spending so much time doom scrolling.
Just avoid the "for you" side of Twitter and stick to whoever you are following and there is no curating needed. If you want to be on the "for you" side then yes you need to do a lot of clicking on "not interested in this post".
it's stormfront 2.0. i'm just surprised sk-driver doesn't autoplay whenever content from that site appears
And you have a weird fasciation with homosexuals, trans, and the appropriate state of children's genitalia. @AroundTheWorld
I stopped using it for the last couple months and haven't missed it all that much. Seems like too much effort to curate it in order to weed out the bots and influencers who are just trying to get clicks for themselves. One need look no further than Elon Musk to see what it does to people.
I used to use twitter for breaking news, but ever since Elon took it over, news never comes up in my feed.
Today is the perfect time to use Twitter/X it's a laugh riot at the moment. The greatest salt mine in the world.
It's an incredible and limitless source of information and commentary about every subject imaginable, and it's much improved since Elon bought it.
I bet u would say that since Elon is tweeting or xting 24/7. Since Elon outed himself as a relatively farther right wing, X has become his tool For info about the Rockets, Celtics and OKC those teams that I usually follow, it's still good. For film information, entertainment and politics it is still bona fide.
