I think forcing businesses inside the USA and lowering energy costs would be a great start.

I can't lie. Its fun to **** post on here.

I still truthfully believe the Dem Party the last 16 years has been run by a darker presence that we don't get to see the light of.

    I've said a few times.

Dems pre GWB actually had better policies and standing than republicans.

They messed up by pandering to the loony birds on the off the map left.

I think they change it, and we see a better party in 4 years.

Really curious to see what happens to the media. They have a 10% approval rating. People know they are full of ****.

I don't really get the "the white dudes have spoken, we're the real america, you're about to find out when we make the rules !" story.

That has been the story of America pretty much since it's founding.

We only had a pluralistic democratic society since the 1960's, and even then guess who wielded most of the power across the entire spectrum of institutions for the last 60 years?

THe current change in the Trump era is the open and willing embrace of a fascistic ruler with no regard for Rule of Law - that is certainly a new development! Even dating back to the founding of the Republic - Seems bad.

LIke i said, Nazis = bad Fascism = bad Autocracy = bad - this is not compatible with the postwar America I grew up in - but obviously, some peopple want to take it in a different direction. We'll see I guess.

You are a big reason why the Democratic party failed.
People like you turn off normal citizens. Your view points are so out there politically. You gaslight others because you are insecure.

Its disgusting. I am just glad you got dunked on.

They ran on economy, crime, illegal immigration...actual issues. Maybe if the Dems tried that they wouldn't have gotten their asses waxed.

    Complete disagreement here, of course.

My entire voting life has been characterized by the far left getting pushed down the stairs by neo-con democrats who would be considered too conservative in the Reagan era republican party.

When you have an opposition party that stands for nothing and a bunch of people struggling to pay the bills you can get some pretty crazy election results.

That being said, we're gonna keep ping-ponging back and forth between "totally batshit" and "milquetoast" until we dismantle the engineered duopoly. So, let's focus on that.

You're gonna be able to afford a house very easily if they shutter all those agencies and layoff those thousands of federal workers they are promising to do.

Hell, you and I are gonna be owning entire sub-divisions

    Welcome to Donnyville.

The Executive branch of the federal government will be now mostly staffed by crypto bros. God help us.

I guess that's a real question: which agencies do you think are safe? I bet military, DIA, CIA, DEA, etc. are safe. Anything that perpetuates the big swinging dick energy Trump likes. Everything else feels like it's on the chopping block.

I mean, on one level, Trump tells an easily understandable story - hey those bad brown people/tariffs/ whatever is the enemy, they're to blaime for your troubles, and i'll make them go away and your life will be better and you will be able to afford a house!

Democrats don't tell an understandable story liek thatbecause they tried to stick to truth

! I mean, they told good ones on abortion, and how Trump was bad, but you can't really tell an easy stroy about say - market consolidation and profit extraction and housing shortages and whatnot - which is the actual explanation for why you can't afforda house, car, wahtever. you can show a nice graph that shows inflation is done and the US has the best econonomy in the world but nobody's going to get it. It doesn't have the same appeal.

He was basically even with black men compared to 2020 (though he did improve in that demo from 2016 to 2020). Hispanic men was a major turnaround.

You're underestimating the value of patronage - it is far more valuable to the autocrat to have a bunch of flunkies on the governmetn payroll than to cut a bunch of agencies just for the sake of cutting them.

Pretty much anything that makes **** blow up is safe. Everything else is ralph wiggum on the bus.gif

More specifically If I worked for the dept of education, labor, HHS, HUD, or EPA I'd probably start sharpening up my resume.
