The 2028 Presidential Election

If Trump still alive, I suspect he will run ... the SCOTUS can't/won't stop him.

 

I would bet on Newsom for Dems. Had there been an actual primary this go around, I would have put my money on him to come out as the strong victor.

For Reps, who knows. I guess Vance.

The democrats have to stop thinking about MAKING HISTORY
and start being PRACTICAL

He appears to be a competent well spoke dude but I don't think that matters

Call me crazy but I do not think Trump finishes this term.

I think he either has a health episode or meets some other unfortunate fate.

How that effects JD Vance? Who knows.

The odd thing is, I cannot see Vance as President. Like, ever.

Even if Trump has a guns-blazing-awesome 4 years. Vance is just too much of a ****ing boob.

The Republicans may have to deal with the same problem the Democrats just dealt with.

A really unpopular VP who is thrust into the spotlight and has to carry the day for the party.

Americans generally don't like parties that hold all the power.

No deep recession and no war would probably be a starter for Vance to win.

So you don’t need to worry about an election in 2028.

Newsom is a big part of the problem.

Fetterman should be looked at as a possible future star for the Democrats.

 

It is a real possibility Trump will not finish this term, potentially setting up 10 years of Vance.

VP picks have been a mixed bag. I think its something like 2/3 of all VP's go on to run for president and half of them get elected. I crunched the numbers a couple weeks ago but since forgot.

Vance is young and mostly unestablished but clearly bought and paid for.

Serious question -- what happens to her? The Senate is off the table. I can't see her being put on another ticket. Just sit around and wait for that Attorney General job in 2028+?

I like Fetterman but I really like Pete B, but I don't think certain demographics (the bros) would ever go for that...............Pets is bad ass to go on fox so often and debate and actually make sense
