I want to caution the doomers and the boomers here to slow their roll a bit with the "America is over/We're ****ed" and "Democrats are finished/MAGA forever" hysterics alike.

The pie is not baked yet. The Presidency, yes. Congress is still a jump ball. And, not that it matters, but the pop vote is technically still up in the air.

We don't really know what the message/mandate is yet and we may not know for a few more days if not weeks when the data comes back.

I have been around for a few elections now.
It has always confounded me that anyone would take the advice of a movie or TV star, an Athlete, or a musical singer.
Most of those folks are empty vessels. I would venture to say that almost all on this board are more knowledgeable about politics than Ariana Grande.

I mean, 99% of the reason Trump is President today is because he played a 'businessman' on a TV show.

On MSNBC last night, one of their reasons why Kamala ran a "flawless" campaign is because of "all the celebrities that endorsed her". These people are still out of touch and just don't get it. Americans could care less about celebrity political opinion. The pandemic knocked the traditional celebrities down a few pegs and they aren't getting it back.

Again, Trump is nothing more than a celebrity and that is literally why he is President today.

Also, look at any Republican event. They clammor for any star power to put on stage they can, so much so they dust off people from the ****ing 1980s.

They've got a majority in the Senate.

It's looking like they will have a slight majority in the Senate.

Does this qualify as me correctly predicting the election?

The Dems had a bad candidate and there are many reasons Trump is POTUS.

I am sure the transgenderism of America had a pretty significant impact as well. Though it isn’t talked about, for good reason, having that shoved down everyone’s throat the last several years didn’t leave a good taste in most Americans (or the world for that matter) mouths.

People can live how they want, it’s a free country, you don’t have to force it to everyone, everywhere, all the time. Just the overall far leftist agenda is why they didn’t even stand a chance. The dems just made up narratives to try and win an election and luckily, we still have more smart people than stupid in this country.

Ok? We know Trump is a celebrity but he's been speaking the same way politically for 40 years and has already been president.

What people are talking about are the "breaking news celebrity endorsements" the media has been pushing heavy this cycle as if people care anymore. Think Taylor Swift and how her endorsement would change everything (it actually backfired). The Democrats are so out of touch pushing outdated campaign strategies, which is a big reason why they got destroyed yesterday.

Hopefully he can secure the border.

    End wars

    Lower inflation

    Drill baby drill

Fundamentally change the education system in this country.

Exactly - if the dems could have found a white male who was around 60 and was moderate, they probably would have won.

Trump is 2-0 against female candidates and 0-1 against male candidates.

My guess is that most people who voted for Trump voted for the red hat MAGA Brand and the 2016 memory of him and whatever edited video clips they were fed of him rather than the shambolic incoherent version of him today who was just rambling onstage of half empty arenas.

I'd bet most Trump voters didn't even see one clip from the debate, for example. Or if they did it was part of a fox News edit.

When democracy doesn't end and this isn't our last election how will Democrats be able to show their face?

Don’t hold your breath. He will not do anything that is going to be beneficial to the country UNLESS it helps him.
