It will be interesting. I think more concerning for me is that the Republicans now have complete control. I am a big proponent of that never happening, for either party. Especially nowadays where everything seems to be spread thin in the center. It seems the majority got what they wanted, especially with full control. Now, all we can do is sit back and see what happens. I'm definitely ready for all the wokeness to go away. I'm not ready for healthcare and the economy to tank, but I'm hoping I'm wrong about those things. I am an idiot, after all (aren't we all?).
Just got to roll with it and adapt to the policies whether it b benefical or harmful. If folks end up btching about it, just tell them should have thought about it when they voted.

To me, the dramatic independent swing was a punishment for the fact inflation was so high. And it was the canary in the proverbial coal mine. But if the voting Americans wants SCOTUS to re-decide Loving, or banning Abortion, or mass deporting immigrants and illegal aliens, or kill globalization by imposing tariffs, or leave Ukraine to be annexed by Russia, or let Israel annex Gaza and West Bank, or support police crackdowns on racial minorities, or ban transgender care and ostracize transgender people, or eliminate childhood vaccines, or remove fluoride from the water, or repeal the ACA, or cut taxes on billionaires and corporations, or even end democracy, Who am I to stop it? I voted my values and America as a whole disagreed. Biden would have lost and Harris was the only acceptable option for our party. Trump has the same age and cognitive weaknesses as Biden but the press gave Trump a pass on it. While Harris being a brown woman likely did turn off potential voters due to our country’s inherent prejudices but I don’t think that was enough to give Trump the support he carried. Maybe I will be surprised but maybe it will turn out exactly as the last presidency did. Eggs won’t be suddenly cheaper.
I agree with that. I don't want to live in California, politically. I just want common sense and the ability to work together, from both sides.

It wouldn’t have mattered who ran on the democrats side they would have lost. Inflation was the only issue that mattered to most people and democrats got blamed for it. This is reminiscent of when McCain lost to Obama due to the economy. Trump got lucky that inflation hit most Americans hard. Unfortunately, his policies of tariffs and deportations are going to make inflation worse but I guess that’s a lesson that needs to be learned in real time.
