Adults understand the history of the fake cordiality towards fascists never works. Adults here were the ones calling the MAGA movement fascist years ago. Let's place personal responsibility towards the people who use powerless and marginalized groups as scapegoats to deflect from having to talk about real issues such as healthcare coverage and labor rights. This country has created an entitled class of angry men who believe being called out for their targeted hatred of groups with less clout and power is rude and a valid excuse to support a fascist. I'm tired of bigots blaming being called out for their bigotry for why they now support fascism.
People should just be honest that if they are pissed they want an even more pissed off, whiny bunker boy to represent them. At least be angry together.
We've all got our own beliefs, after Covid/January 6th. I don't believe a lot of what our government puts out. Including what he was "convicted" for. No candidate will be perfect, but Trump isn't a career politician, nor is he liked by most of the long standing politicians on both sides of the aisle. To me that speaks volumes in a positive light.
We're in the abyss - the Constitution/our system/ all of America was designed to prevent a lawless tyrant like Trump from taking power. It failed - twice, the second time even worse. It is broken, not sure how to fix it. The voters rescued it in 2018, 20, 22 - no other institutions did their part
