His fg% is below .400. That's crazy. You can't be this inefficient and be the leader of an NBA team. I want him out in the off-season.
This is how you hold your young players franchise accountable. Played badly, got benched, allowed him to get back in a figure it out.
I think the ideal scenario for the Rockets is that Alperen is the 1st and 2nd down running back that wears everyone down like Derrick Henry. JG needs to be the Lamar Jackson. Signs of life boys!
I gotta say I'm not really clear on this whole accountability thing. It was accountability to bench him for being 2/12, right? But then it was also accountability to unbench him and put him back in the game? Why? Would it also have been accountability if he kept him benched for the remainder of the game? Or would that have been wrong? I thought we weren't supposed to trust our guys if they're having bad games?
I’d be more inclined if he was a pretty good facilitator…its hard to see a guy shoot 23 shots with 0 assists. Scoreboard watching or not. That is odd. Somethings don’t happen when he touches the ball.
Tonight with Green is a how you should treat your star player. Bench him when they are cold but always let them back in at the end.
Green started the 4th quarter and was benched at 10:28 after multiple bad plays in a row. He went back in at 5:28. Rotations in general were much different today than previous games, so I couldn't track the minutes distribution very well for whole game, but that's what happened in the 4th quarter.
All those years of Kobe comparison this is the first time it's made sense. Shoot terribly to keep the other team in the game and the go super nova in last 2 minutes to seal the win. Then everyone only remembers how well you did at the end and just ignore everything else. Very Kobe like performance today.
That big 3 he hit late, he was doubled and FVV was WIDE OPEN!! He hit the big shot and I give him credit but not sure he's grown as a playmaker to the level required to lead a team. Poor decision, great shot.
I was thinking the same thing. I thought is was a bad shot that went in. There were several instances where guys were open and he decided to force things and shoot the ball even though he was shooting poorly. I am just not sold on him yet.
