Every time I see Mayor Pete speak, I think that guy should be president. Nobody can rival his intellect, speaking ability, delivery, persona. And there is no close 2nd.

He is 42 years old. I wonder if there is any chance he would win in the next 25 years. Sadly, I think not.

This - she has run a Tom Thibs game plan - few turnovers, has ground it out and right now is in a tie game with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter against a team no one thought she could beat. She is still going to need to score at some point, but it is close to a tossup.

I don't agree with Trump on some issues - I don't like how he talks about women - but he is a 78 year old womanizing billionaire - so it kind of goes with the territory. Having said that, I do respect that Trump (for good or bad) ultimately makes the decision on how he is going to campaign, what he is going to do or say. He is never looking off stage like most candidates when something goes wrong.

I completely agree on all fronts. Overall, I think she has done pretty well under the circumstances of Biden being a total boat anchor.

Her response to what she would have done differently - that is honestly unforgivable: (1) easily anticipated question, (2) her subsequent answers were much better, so it’s not like she couldn’t do better, (3) I cannot imagine she wasn’t prepped for it, so (4) I can only conclude she choked/flubbed.

I get that it was one moment in the campaign, and I credit her for doing pretty well overall. I just think that moment, combined with the word salads she put up periodically (like the CNN town hall), reveal that she is just not as skilled as I want her to be. And I’m only beating on that drum because I feel that strongly about the stakes of a second Trump term. Easy for me to sit here and criticize I know.

We shall see. This is a referendum on America. I hope she passes the test.

It's not about her getting out more
    but
About her exposing Trump more. . . . Trump being hidden is part of the issue

I think she`s been on point for most of the campaign. Being tied to Biden was bad but nothing she could do about that. I heard a new ad this weekend saying she backed every issue that Biden did, I was like well, she was the VP and that is her job

The answer on The View was not good, not sure if she was expecting that but she should have.

IMO her biggest blunder is what she can't change, being a Black Woman running for President just explodes the mind of some male conservatives (black and white)

I will say it again, if the gop had shed trump and nominated Haley this would be a slam dunk for the GOP, but they went Party over Country and I think it will cost them...............hell, who knew when Haley sad that months ago it would actually be true

trump is finally running as he wants to and it's up to America to judge if that's too extreme or not, but the mistakes over the past few weeks by him (not his campaign) have shown us who he really is................he is not a fan of women.

I think Harris wins, and this is the first time I have had any confidence in that......................if America picks trump, then we deserve what we asked for

He would have been a good VP instead of Mr Mackey lite.

Pete isn't part of the establishment. Its why he gets no shot.

Every campaign ad should have had video of Jan 6th.

lol. one minute you guys are talking about Biden being sharp as a tack, gReAtEsT eConOmY eVeR and a perfect presidency. Now you are claiming its one of the major reasons why Harris would lose? Im so confused on this logic.

This is one of the most ignorant talking points. Morons said the same thing about Obama and he soundly beat Romney (who was not a bad pick) and McCain. Race and gender is a fools errant to b**** about. She is just a shitty candidate.

It would be a slam dunk for the Republicans (and you can stop using the outdated term GOP. They are democrats now) if they did not overturn Roe V Wade. It is one of the biggest blunders they will continue to face for the next couple elections.

You asked for poll options, so I was suggesting some. Doesn't mean they're right. Just things that some people might think.

I am genuinely interested in why you have that impression.

I agree. But, I have to balk at calling it a blunder. That was the animating issue for the party for decades. What's the point of them if they don't overturn Roe when they get the chance? Imagine how dissatisfied prolife voters would be right now if they were sitting with a 6-3 majority on the Supreme Court and still couldn't get what they wanted. It's a drag on Republican candidates for a little while, but it wasn't a mistake -- they delivered on a promise they'd been making for years.

Yep, Roe has been the motivating issue for Cons voters of every ilk to vote.

Now we have 40 yr old F-Society judges that do more than lord over abortion rights.

IMO her biggest flaw so far was not taking the Rogan interview.

Yes, it's a tightrope to talk for 3 hours and not give the right a 5 second clip they can take out of context, but it would have been a softball layup of an interview that would be most seen by her weakest demographic.

The fact that Trump went on there and sharted out nonsense would also make her look good by having that apples to apples comparison.

Truth be told though, campaigning is mostly an exercise in futility. The only real choice of consequence of the campaign was her VP pick. Everything else is just theater, and to that end, I cannot fault any of her theatrics.

Perhaps she left some votes on the table by letting Trump take all the crypto/Bitcoin voters. But the amount of people who vote on that is very hard to tell at the moment. I would count myself among them, but my lack of trust in Trump killed that dead.

What truly sucks is Mayor Pete would probably be a viable candidate in 2028 if he weren't gay, but on the other hand that is 4 more years. Maybe the kids will save us.

    The reality is
She has to have a meticulously documented vetted and researched plan for EVERYTHING
He just needs concepts of a plan
    (i.e the white man's privilege)

She has run a perfect campaign for the republicans, exposing them for being the more logical, grounded constitutional based party. I don't think she has the ability to do anything other than that, and the polls however flawed, reflect just that. She's lost a lot of the long standing auto dem voters, and inspired a lot of idle conservatives to get out and vote. So yeah, no blunders, she's done great!
