She couldn’t think of anything she would do differently in the last 4 years. That answer alone could cost her the election.

edit - also, not going with Shapiro for VP is also huge if she loses PA

The price controls proposal probably wasn't great for electability, Shapiro if she loses PA is a great one, calling Trump a fascist / the whole push to call the right Nazi's could have been a bit much for some.

In general, she probably could have gone harder on the issues of war, free speech, and the border. Maybe it's just me but I think pushing for something like M4A could have been a good way to get more people excited to vote.

Kamallah’s biggest blunder is herself. The dumbest, least likable DEI candidate that the Dems trotted out. The moment she started to talk and voters get to know her, she is finished.

You Dems could have done so much better if you have a qualified candidate.

The "price controls" are only for times of emergencies. The same anti gouging laws that texas & Florida have. They only applied to national emergencies.

The % of uninsured citizens is at an all time low right now. More people have insurance than at any point in history. The electorate won't care about M4A when they have insurance

Yep not being a man, or white, and being too educated and successful for the Cult of Orange to accept.

For me, it's not picking Shapiro.
If Pennsylvania is the most important swing state, seems like that would be low hanging fruit.
But a Jewish person on the ticket would I guess hurt in Michigan.

To a lesser extent all the R congress critters who voted NO to codifying Roe nationally, guaranteeing contraception access nationally, on the ERA, etc.

There really isn't anything - none of the microscandals that the political horse race press tried to blow up into gaffes or -gates or whateer broke through to the mainstream (unlike Trump calling all Puerto Ricans trash or JD Vance telling all women they basically just suck, or etc, all of the MAGA dumpster fire)

Harris did exactly what the poltiical pundits wnated, - stayed on message, activated voters with enthusiasm, built a big competent org - there is nothing you can say about the campaign that really would move the needle.

In the unlikely event that the courts & MAGA overrule the people & implement the fascistic regime they crave - there's not really a lot you can put on her (Merrick Garland on the other hand...)

    Make no mistake
Her #1 mistake is not being WHITE MALE

I was wondering who well Mayor Pete would do
But I doubt he would do much better being openly Gay

They are spout all their policies and ideas but at the end of the day
    They will never vote for a NON-WHITE NON-Heterosexual Non-Male
Nothing a person fitting any one of those descriptions can do to get them elected president
best they can hope for is being a tool for the White Heterosexual Male that is elected president
And that White Heterosexual Male will have to pledge allegience to make sure that the
White Heterosexual Male remains at the top of the food chain . . . whether they deserve it or not
back to the good old days were the least of white men was treated better and rewarded more than the best
    of any other category

Yes. I beleive this to be 100% True for a large number of Trumps supporters

You cannot complain about a woman sleeping her way to the top while voting for a convicted sex offender and a John for a p*rn star.

Like what exactly? She has been all over the MSM, daytime tv, late night tv, podcasts, etc since September, way more than Trump who has to be hidden because he literally can no longer speak cohrently.

    1) Not establishing how she'd be different than Biden.

    2) Facilitating a genocide is also very unpopular but she won't make any commitment to stop doing that.

But, if she loses, I predict this is who the establishment Dems will actually blame:

    - 3rd party candidates
    - Black males

It's much easier to blame others than look inward and wonder, for example, if a real primary should have happened.

That said, I think she'll win.

    Poll suggestions:

    * Not picking Shapiro as VP
    * Not differentiating herself more from Biden and explain what she would change
    * Her foreign policy -- posture towards Israel and Ukraine, etc
    * Dumb domestic policy proposals, or talking too much or not enough about policy
    * "[Insert racial group] for Harris" Zoom calls and other forms of identity politics
    * Setting the wrong tone (too much or not enough) about the fascism threat from Trump
    * Others

Though our conservative friends are asking for it, I wouldn't include being a well-educated black Asian woman. It might hurt her chances a bit. But, that's her identity and I can't really say identity is a "blunder." That's her value prop. Likewise with the way she got the nomination. That might be a DNC blunder and a Biden blunder, but it wasn't a Harris blunder.

Her biggest blunder is beyond her control - she was tethered to Joe Biden and she struggled to separate herself as a candidate until the last 10 days or so. She did not want to speak poorly of Biden which made it hard to differentiate herself.

The "she couldn't think of anything she would do differently" response was poor - but it is also a tough question to act. She should have deflected better.

I go back and forth over Shapiro - I do believe he would have been an asset in Pennsylvania and he thinks well on his feet and likely would not have made any blunders. On the other hand, he doesn't really fit the culture around her and he would have hurt her in Michigan and Wisconsin. Walz does very well with women and while his national profile is in the middle - he does very well at a grass roots level, which may help quite a bit.

Overall - she has done extremely well considering that she is a woman running for the President, trying to break two glass ceilings and is connected to an unpopular administration ..... really, the Republicans privately have to be uneasy, because had they picked someone that wasn't named Trump - they would route the Democrats.
